I mean, from what we know about his struggles in the NYPD in the past, it is unlikely that many, if any, coworkers have stood up for him like that. And the fact that Jake wasn't the one to tell him what really happened too. He didn't use it to get out of being punished for what he did or to get praise or suck up or anything, he just accepted the consequences and never expected to get any credit for what he really did. Plus the fact that Amy so easily agreed that it had been deserved too. Holt has got minimal experience with coworkers who aren't either Homophobic or Racist or both... All of it must mean so much to him.
