But her thoughts are soon filled with the coming of age ceremony and becoming an official palace maid, a position her friends are excited about. However, there's one job no one wants and it's the exact one Deokim finds herself in, personally assisting the Crown Prince. But along with managing that tough situation, she's soon put into several more. Like being accused of walking on the King's path and facing punishment by a witchy princess, and being asked to spy on Prince San by his own mother. Poor girl just can't catch a break!

The push and pull of our main two leads give me such anxiety lol. I fear for her life every episode 😭 yes that annoying woman is the king's real daughter, she gets on my damn nerves 🙄 and I fully agree with mer, I'm glad the prince showed concern for the king but at the same time reiterated the queen's judgment for deok im (even tho our girl was nowhere near the kings path 😤 that aunty needs a slap) ahhh I can't wait for next week! Since the production team has made a great effort in research to ensure most details are in line with the history, it is hard for foreigners like us to understand. (It's also why the drama is so well-loved in Korea. Junho is one of the 2 actors that being named the most in a hot Theqoo topic post a few days ago asking who is the 1st actor come to your mind when thinking about Yi San, the king that is well-loved in history. This shows the attention to detail in this drama and how well the character was portraited.) I have rewatched the show so many times, but I still find new details every time. You can tell it is a great drama when it aroused so many interests and discussions that many people (locals and foreigners) research about the history and even wrote many analysis on the details. I can share the details with you but the comments will be sooooo long that I'm not sure if you will be drained.
