You’re right. This show does fill in some gaps. Star Wars: Clone Wars and Rebels are two animated series that also explore a lot of the lore as well as give some understanding to both Obi Wan and The Mandalorian series.

The actor who plays Uncle Owen is Joel Edgerton and he's relatively famous now, he's been in a lot of Oscar nominated movies. He was basically a nobody during the time the prequel movies came out, so it's cool that he's made it big since then and came back to star wars which was kind of his first big role. Also since you mentioned it, Dune is such a good movie. Love to see your thoughts on that film.
