Oh also, the woman at the city the dragon was attacking at the end, you're supposed to know who that is. That's Ripley, the one who murdered Percy's parents and tortured almost all of his siblings to death, tortured him and Cass, and shot Cass with arrows as they were fleeing.

It isn't like a looming threat in the future, it's something that was going on like 850ish years before the events of this story. As for the Raven Queen(matron of ravens) she's a death Goddess yeah, but she isn't evil. Death is just part of life. She LOATHES the undead. Her domain is Fate and the moment of transition between life and death. She actually used to be mortal and ascended to godhood.
