The Expanse Episode 4 Reaction

I get what you're saying, I think Space tried to sort of explain to me too. I am definitely enjoying the world building already, so I can't wait to see where it goes with season 2

Hey Nia, so excited to see your reaction to this series! One bit of warning (NOT a spoiler), a lot of fans hype up "The Expanse" as the greatest show of all time right from the first episode, despite some weaknesses in the beginning. Because of this I've seen people going into the show with very high hopes get disappointed and ultimately turned off when it doesn't measure up to their expectations right away. I personally believe it eventually evolves into a real masterpiece, but it takes a while to really get going. Unlike "Firefly", which managed to make the audience invested only ten episodes in, it's not until season two that the writing starts to come together across the board. So when new viewers go in expecting Firefly 2.0 and instead get something with stumbles and wonky writing they get soured on the whole. That's not to say people don't enjoy the first season, but it's not yet firing on all cylinders. So if you ever feel yourself let down and wondering what the heck all the praise is about, that's why it doesn't seem to match up.

oh wow, it sounds very intricate... but terrifying still nonetheless

Fun Fact: Most ships in the expanse are built sort of like buildings, with each deck/level/floor perpendicular to the engine's thrust, to create artificial gravity when the thrusters are on. The "juice" is also supposed to help the crew mitigate damage from physical stress during high G maneuvers. Places like Ceres and Eros get spun around to create artificial gravity.
