I really like the breakdown of the world building and after watching episode 3 I'm starting to understand what you mean by grey politics. I'm totally here for the world building though, I think that's the fun part for me with shows and series!

2022-12-06 05:06:09 +0000 UTCHands down, best sci-fi show made. Very plausible/mostly realistic physics, great complex grey politics and really good writing. The first season is a bit slow to hook a lot of people since it spends a lot of time world building but every season gets better (and it starts of great). The Belters speak "Belter Creole", a combination of bits of many languages and accents and the accents are purposefully very inconsistent. Pockets of people that spend their lives isolated on tiny stations developing a different mix of cultures and accents, but tied enough through trade and resupply from larger stations to not be TOO different language.
