2022-10-02 15:46:31 +0000 UTCit was really gorgeous, I actually didn't mind the pacing at all!! then again, I'm used to Tolkien taking a whole page to describe a hobbit hole as an intro to the book. I also love the extended versions of the movies. I didn't think it was a slow burn but I only saw the first episode

I'm caught up but will be looking forward to rewatching with you. It's a gorgeous series and I'm enjoying it so much. Thoughts on the pacing? Some people critique it for being a slow burn, but as I usually watch the Extended Editions of the Lord of the Rings, they're such long movies that I really didn't expect different from this series.
