But as he pushes, Miso loses her patience and says some hasty words that hit Youngjoon hard. I'll help clarify what Mer questioned about the hookup culture in Korea vs the Western world. My info comes from Kelsey, a Korean youtuber. So here in America we have one night stands and then we move on. Apparently, in Korea, they meet someone and start dating super early (maybe like 2nd or 3rd date) so that when they sleep together, they have a title to make it less frowned upon. Then, they break up a couple of weeks after (which is why sometimes you get Idols confirming relationship and then a week or two later they are broken up). So they don't exactly have one night stands, but they get together knowing it's just for fun. Back to the episode, I think Mi So is not telling her dad for the same reason she wasn't telling her sisters. She spent 9 years painting a bad picture of him to her family, so now they don't like him. This is why the older sister didn't like him (well, that and what I explained in episode 10). There is a reason why we say not to speak about the bad moments in your relationship with your friends and family. We say that because when everything is good, we don't go back and tell them everything that the partner did great, so they always only have a negative image of the partner.
