This is an old video, but maybe somebody else will be watching it later, so...for anyone who cares, the reason all the groups were confused by the word "intelligence" in this episode is that Producer Na was using the word "chireok," from the Chinese character compound 知力. Rather than "intelligence," the subtitles probably should have used a more uncommon word like "sapience" or "acuity" to represent how it might have sounded to the young artists who, for the most part, probably didn't study archaic hanja (Chinese character) compounds. They weren't confused because it was hard to hear or because they're stupid, but because the word the producer used is extremely old and not common in everyday conversation. The Chinese members of SVT didn't even recognize the word (and neither did Ni-ki, who might know the word as "chiryoku" in Japanese, but even there it's also an uncommon way of expressing the concept).
