Meanwhile, the whole school finds out about Kyungseok's family life and even though Sua might not be to blame, she sure as hell uses that info to try another slimy scheme to get closer to him. On top of that, Kyungseok's mom winds up in the hospital and he finally sits down to hear her out which leads to him confronting his dad and secrets being revealed that have us PISSED!!!

I hate Do Kyung Seok's dad. I seriously hate him. It's a miracle that even after staying with manipulative, narrow minded dad, he came out to be intelligent, open-minded person who supports women empowerment. In the future episodes, you will get a glimpse that he was the person who used to take care of his sis too. Also, you guys must have noticed that the reason Do Kyung Seok never expresses himself is because his dad has grilled in him not to cry or express but Cha Eunwoo's eye moments and those subtle feelings he expresses through his eyes is mindblowing. From the pain in his eyes when he was talking how he was not able to meet his mom, to utter shock and anger when he got to know his dad hit his mom. I loved he called his dad out for pathetic, loser behavior. Now, coming to Mirae, I love her dad. He is stubborn but loves his daughter. It warmed my heart that finally they are happy together. Mi Rae was brought up in a good, loving family but society forced her to go back to her shell and here, Kyung Seok's childhood forced him to suppress his feelings.

She has already accepted that she would be sent to the US after she is done with high school. The reason she was crying was the dad took away her computer so now she couldn’t do her mukbang live streams which seems to be her passion.

I also want him to connect the sister with the mom, since clearly the dad is not a worthy parent, but I shan't say how that turns out! I will say, though, that their mom is one of my favorite kdrama mamas to this day. Such a memorable character and storyline!

2023-06-18 01:43:01 +0000 UTCWhen you rewound it to figure out how the dad ended up unintentionally revealing that he hit the mom, you just missed it by one line. The dad said the mom probably made up an excuse so that Kyung Seok would go to her. Kyung Seok said if he was having him or his mom followed, he must have known it wasn’t an excuse and that she was food poisoned because she couldn’t smell. And that’s how the dad started just spilling the beans, thinking Kyung Seok brought that up as an accusation. Mer, I’m happy to report you’ll see more veiny arms in the next episode. 😜
