The way this last episode is wrapped out is so well done and we love all the final touches at the end too. Such a great show and we're really going to miss it!

Most of k historian drama too heavy for me but this one solidified my love for everything that is actor CHAEUNWOO . By the time i was done watching this True Beauty was about to air and i dived in deeper into that rabbit hole. Anyways i love the reaction to this last episode. Thank you Free and Mer for ending it with a so much hilarity watching you both melt down in all the right places . And yes it is quite an ending episode . Prince Yirim approached his grandmother asking to step down. Yes he would be a good king but he has been coped up all his life being a king is another cage he will be exchanging his old life with. He knows he can step down too cz his brother JIN was a better King to handle the kingdom as well & he had said that . In my own alternative ending i picture Prince Yirim learning the world through his travel & succeeded Jin later who passed away without an heir and become the progressive King that helped the Joseon era moved towards a modern South Korea now . Thus returning it back to the rightful lineage.

I even have it ongoing rn and play a episode sometimes, in between other kdramas, when I miss the show. I wasn’t sure how I’d feel about historical dramas too but because of Eunwoo, I tried watching this. I’m sooo glad I did because now it peaked my interest in watching other historical dramas & there are definitely a lot good of good ones out there. A really good one is Moon Lovers: Scarlet Heart Ryeo. Soooooo good! It has IU, Baekyun from EXO and other actors you will most likely recognize from other kdramas. I found a website that plays it with great quality & English subs. Another historical drama that is more recent on Netflix is Under the Queen’s Umbrella. This was under Netflix’s top 10 shows at some point. What a great ride watching Rookie Historian with you gals! I'm also so excited for Island, I watched the whole first season 😂 but I'm so in for your reaction, Nunu as a priest is very dangerous, how ironic 🙈

Cha Eunwoo as Yi Rim is the cutest thing ever. I don't know if you noticed but when Yi Rim and Goo Hae Ryung were running away from palace, the OST that was getting played was sung by Cha Eunwoo. Episode 1 & 2 may seem draggy but it picks up pace from episode 4 onwards. I hope after Island, you guys react to my id is gangnam beauty.

2023-02-05 06:16:10 +0000 UTCThe queen wasn’t referring to Rim when she said that she hasn’t forgiven him. The letter was sent from the villa where the former king now resides. So she meant the former king. And then she asked if the court lady heard from Sambo and you could see her eyes got all soft So she doesn’t resent Rim for stepping down. I’m surprised you ladies did not talk about the fact that Rim and Haeryung are not married. You did catch on that they were not married but probably forgot to include in the wrap up. Up til the end of this drama, they really stayed with the feminist tone. Although I still haven’t given up on a season 2 where Rim would take the throne and they would get married. I think he needed to find himself and learn about the world so he could be a better king. But when he’s done, I do hope that he would get a chance to be a king.
