The outies and the innies are basically completely different people sharing the same body. It's like a separate personality. Helly doesn't want to be at work but her outie, basically the main personality still wants to work there which is why she made the video saying helly isn't a person. Since Helly's outie doesn't have her work memories when she leaves, she doesn't really care how Helly feels.

Don't even bother talking to the outside you they don't care about what's happening at work because they don't have to deal with it. Best bet is to just be as disruptive as possible. If I have a outie you can't kill me or someone will notice and if I kill someone how will I get charged? I'm not a person. The legal issues this would cause would be enough to bring down the company. Because only so many people can go missing before it's noticed.
