Kingdom: Legendary War Ep. 7

The collaboration unit round gets started with performances from both teams' rap and dance units. It amazes us what these guys can create, especially when working with people outside of their groups, and the unity among all of them has us blown away.

I'm really enjoying this reactions.. I know I watch this very late but I think you girls are misunderstanding the voting system for Round 1 and Round 2.. 50% of the total are determined by the expert and self-evaluation (25% expert, 25% themselves) while another 50% are determined by the global fans which includes korean and international fans (40% are from voting apps, 10% are from viewership of the teams' performance videos on the apps).. So when they say global fans, it actually includes both from korea and international fans.. You guys are misunderstanding that 40% votes are from korean fans and 10% are from international fans.. In actuality, 40% are taken from direct voting from all the fans (korean+international) through the apps and 10% are from viewership of the uploaded videos of all these performances on the apps.. iKon and BTOB are really big locally so as Mnet also air this show on local broadcast, it really affect the show's rating against other shows that was airing at the same time.. But this rating is between shows and not included in the ranking of these groups.. Hope this clear up some misunderstanding.. 😊

What I really love about Kingdom, fabulous performances aside, are the human interactions. I especially loved the 3Racha + Hongjoong + Minhyuk and also the dance unit with Peniel. I think BTOB are really standing out as wonderful mentors for the younger guys (who are all just amazingly talented and humble).

I really really enjoyed this episode and I agree: just watch for the sake of it. I also dread the scoring moment, even if I know who ultimately won. It's just sort of triggering. Also, I have a hard time figuring out how the scoring works and why they had different amount of members in the performances, which can be penalizing even when the three-member performances are fantastic per se.

I think you'll enjoy this much more if you stop worrying about the scoring and just enjoy the incredible talent and the awesome performances. I understand the scoring perfectly, but honestly there's something that just doesn't feel right when you have a master iconic rapper like Bobby being judged by neophytes ( and I'm not talking about master judges like rapper/singer Shindong who recently celebrated 17 years with Super Junior). Why? I knew from the very first two episodes who was going to win. It was no suprise, but that's because I watched it live and kept up with everything that was going on concerning the show. These guys are ALL deserving of praise, praise, praise and applause! IKON, SF9, BtoB, the Boyz, Stray Kids, and Ateez equal number 1. Regardless of who actually won Kingdom, they all gained more fans!

Honestly don’t even pay attention to the scoring. Just enjoy it. No one gets eliminated and the scoring is EXTREMELY confusing and heavily biased for groups that have big fandoms. I watched it late too, but discovered in my research that it was a controversy when this was live. Once I gave up on trying to figure it out I enjoyed it a lot more 😅. Thanks for this! Love your commentary.
