2022-12-11 02:08:50 +0000 UTCI may be the only one annoyed by this, lol, but it drives me bonkers how the translation of the poem is "and be the owner of my heart." I keep being like, "It should be 'become,' or 'stay' if it needs to be one syllable!" But did I still tear up? YES. Rim and Haeryung are too sweet for words. Anyway, I totally agree that the King surprised me by not going berserk and trying to communicate with Haeryung for real. I think that he would actually be ok if it wasn't for the second state councilor, who poisons his mind. But the commenter above me is absolutely correct! The King also wants to make sure it looks like Rim is his son like any other, even though he normally can't stand him. It's so interesting to me that he's almost protecting Rim from his subordinate... Which again points to him not being evil incarnate if it wasn't for his co-conspirator lol.

2022-12-11 00:24:58 +0000 UTCThe king had multiple agendas for his sudden change in activities. The more obvious one is what we all saw, to bully Haeryung into telling him what she wrote. The less obvious one which they just hinted at is to throw the 2nd councilor off the scent regarding Rim’s birth. If you remember, the king asked Jin if the 2nd councilor attends the lectures and when Jin said yes, the king asked Rim to join, probably to show to the 2nd councilor that he also cares about Rim. And when Rim gave his answer about the 3 behaviors, the king made sure to emphasize that he takes after him. Then there’s the queen dowager who, after hearing about the king not reprimanding Rim at the lecture, asked if the 2nd councilor was there, implying that she has her own theories about the king’s agenda. Things are starting to pick up. Secrets will one by one be revealed in the coming episodes. Some of your theories will finally be put to rest. I’m always rewatching the next episode after watching with you, and it’s at this point in the drama that I can’t stop myself from watching it all the way to the end. It’s such a good show and I’m enjoying rewatching it with you ladies!
