These groups aren't messing around when it comes to bringing the stage to life with giant tentacles, dark puppeteers, and a royal performance fit for kings. We also find out the results for the round and which group took first place and gets the reward of picking the order for the next round!

That's assuming other groups have thousands of dollars of props just lying around, which of course they don't. Ateez did fine, they are vastly talented. But the staging and props did influence the judges. No need to get so agressive with your defense.

ATEEZ did not go over any budget, all the props they used was theirs in the first place from the cancelled tour (covid reasons), Hongjoong literally said "so you mean we should use what we already have?" to Seonghwa in that clip which was literally aired on TV. Their budget was as much as everyone's (if any group exceeded the budget, then that's their own issue) and the budget which was the same amount of everyone was used only for the kraken. if the other teams didn't use their heads and be smart with their options like KQ and ATEEZ did, then this is their faut and not ATEEZ's. KQ and ATEEZ played it fair, and their win was deserved. So please next time search more about something because this way of discrediting ATEEZ's hardwork and making it as if it only happened because of the baseless rumor is really disrespectful.

2023-01-13 11:54:26 +0000 UTCGosh, I remember the budget scandal when the show first aired, and I agree that initially, it definitely put some groups at a disadvantage, but I think all groups eventually were able to showcase the production they wanted. Mnet has been so scandal ridden in the past that I decided to just enjoy all the performances, and group interactions, and not worry about the outcome. Once I let go of all the "noise," I was absolutely floored by the outstanding talent, creativity, and performances. I focused on that, and I was so happy to be "introduced" to a couple of groups that I really wasn't that familiar with (ie. the only reason why I knew the name BTOB was because the Maknae of the group was on the show "Masters of the House" before he left for the military. He couldn't even participate in Legendary War. After seeing this show, I now love BTOB.)

I'm sure they would've killed it even with the limited budget too. I do agree also about SF9. Unfortunately, I'd been expecting a last place because of the lack of cohesion during the rehearsals. These poor guys had to work in their participation among too many other engagements. If you're going to compete in such a high level show you have to give it most of your attention and make sure the team is united. Not their fault, but theresults are bound to be inferior to other teams'. The next set looks promising. I have only seen a couple of performances and they're mindblowing

Like, SF9's stage was so creative and did several really cool things with the limited budget, if the judges had known to account for that...well, no way of telling! One really interesting factor about the show is that it does allow global voting and these groups popularity in Korea vs outside it is so wildly different. In I-fandom ATEEZ and SKZ were far and away the most popular, whereas in Korea it's by far IKON and BTOB. (one funny thing to notice going forwards: in these ep 2 and 3, the viewing ratings tanked for 3 vs 2, and they don't allow both IKON and BTOB performances to be in the same episode again to prevent that ratings dive from happening in future episodes a;kdjghd;kfgjh) The next set of performances are really really good, I am sure you will enjoy! 8)
