I didn't get a chance to comment on this episode last time! But it's absolutely adorable to see Rim trying and failing to seduce Haeryung the "traditional" way, only for her to be charmed by his more sincere moments regardless. I love how well this show balances the politics of the time period and importance of historical record with these fluffy little romance moments.

He wears his heart on his sleeves. Itβs a complete reversal of the usual male and female roles in a relationship. Remember too that he just turned 20 and the girl is 26. This is all new to him, so he is hesitant not from wanting to hide behind his pride but just from lack of experience. You will see in the coming episodes how innocent, pure, and steadfast his love is. π
