True Beauty Ep. 16

But back to the episode, this has us all wrapped up in our feels as we watch our favorite characters get their happy ending all wrapped up. (P.S. Free's audio is a bit janky, we're gonna try and fix that in the coming days but didn't want to make you all wait for that.)

I had a really great time rewatching True Beauty with you both. I really enjoyed how you guys react to this drama and this kind of drama. Can you guys add Strong Woman Dobongsoon to your to watchlist? Seeing how you react to this makes me excited to rewatch thatbwith you if you haven't since they had a similar vibe drama with TB but the added crime/thriller that you like Free and thr FL kick-ass 😁

I also loved the Astro film used at Seo-Jun's concert; I believe I saw footage from mostly "Blue Flame" and a little from "Knock." If you guys are going to read the webtoon, there are at least 223 chapters/episodes ahead of you. LOL. I say "at least" because the author Yoangyi tells readers at the end of chapter 223 that even though the "True Beauty " story is wrapped up, she plans to release a few more spin off episodes concerning some of the supporting characters. I'm glad that she is doing that because we do get invested in supporting characters too. Most importantly, K-drama or webtoon, like you said, the end game was always going to be Jugyeong and Suho, with Seo-Jun finding joy in his music; (that smile when he finished singing was everything!!!!). Shout out to SF9 Chani in this episode. I selfishly wish the writers had incorporated into the plot a reason for him to dance, maybe in a flashback. He is such an incredible dancer. Well, on to the next drama!!

I seriously stopped noticing because I was engrossed in watching your reactions and the show of course. How appropriate for the theme of the show, because that’s really what true beauty is. For us, you gals are just Mer and Free, whether you’re all made up or au naturel, your personalities shine through! Hats off to both of you! Looking forward to the next one!

I totally know how you feel because after True Beauty, I was in a funky place where I couldn’t find a good enough Kdrama to start with. I had to kinda lay low for a little bit before I started watching a new drama again. I was so invested emotionally with all the characters I didn’t want it to be over but am so happy with ending too, how they wrapped up the storylines. I cannot wait to rewatch Rookie Historian but with you all…yay!!!!

I'm so happy you both liked it, it's my absolute favorite show ever, and not just because of Eunwoo. Finding Eunwoo, ASTRO, and kpop in general all because I decided to watch this show was just a bonus. It seriously launched me into the happiest period of my life. I wanted to chat about differences between webtoon vs drama after it was over, but since you both intend to read the webtoon I'll wait! Excited for Rookie Historian next!!! I've been reading the webtoon for Eunwoo's next drama, A Good Day to be a Dog, and we're totally going to get drunk Eunwoo again! I'm so ready, he's the absolute cutest!!

Coming to Suho and Jugyeong, drunk suho was the best. I am in love with drunk suho. I can't wait for rookie historian reaction. Eunwoo's character their is naïve but romantic. You're absolutely right about Seojun finding satisfaction through his music and Suho giving him the song as a way to heal. Jugyeong and Suho were absolutely adorable in the final episode, but I'm so delighted at how most of the stories wrapped up. I only wish there had been a little more Sujin in ep 15 instead of the ghosting and love triangle stuff lol, but otherwise the show is also a 10/10 for me.

2022-09-18 13:35:19 +0000 UTCYou two were really into it at the end :) Go back and look at what was showing behind Seo jun at his debut stage. Your biases were shown and you didn't catch it. 3-5 seconds of MV shots of all the ones used on the Move posters were flashing behind him. When you rewatch it you will catch more and more of the Astro nods. Drunk, word slurring Suho was the cutest thing in the entire episode. Even without Eunwoo being Suho, you can see with how well written and adapted the show was why we all love it so much. Eunwoo being in it bumped it into the stratosphere. You also should watch all the behind the scenes stuff on youtube. The principal cast members clearly loved working together. They came to Astro's Stargazer concert. It is so awesome when I cast gels so well on and off screen.
