First meeting with Academik

Turns out the guy wanted to use Valery as a way to settle his own debt with Academik — basically “hand him over” for his own benefit.
But he never bothered to check how Academikk would feel about it.
And Academik was pissed.
To him, Valery was just a kid, and he had no interest in dealing with someone that young. On top of that, the reason the guy brought Valery over was straight-up insulting — Academik had never been into men, especially not young guys. He had a wife waiting for him on the outside — a wife he loved — and on principle, he never sold drugs to young people (he figured Valery was after drugs, not medicine). The whole offer was disgusting in Academik’s eyes.

So, Academik stabbed the guy’s hand with a pen and kicked him out.

But Valery didn’t want to leave — he still needed the medicine.
When Academik found out, he agreed to let Valery stay and promised to give him the meds for free — but on one condition: from now on, Valery would be his soldier. Whenever Academik needed something done — a month from now, a year, maybe never — Valery would have to handle it, no questions asked.

Valery agreed. From that moment on, he started getting the medicine for free, just waiting for the day Academik would decide what task to give him — and how Valery could repay the favor.
