Proposed Balance Changes

These are some proposed balance changes we are planing to implement. We are posting them here first to hopefully get some feedback from the players.

Helm of Dominator Rework:
Currently a mostly useless item because there are no creeps in Overthrow. The planned change was to make it be able to cast on the ground to summon a random special creep (special creeps are the ones with abilities), to compensate for the random nature we would also slightly increase the base movement speed, base health, and lower the bounty reward for the creep.

Midas Rework:
Midas is also another item which is useless because of lack of creeps. The proposed rework would be to make it an AOE castable item which can be used to collect gold coins from a distance and also give an EXP bonus per gold coin collected by this method. We want the same heroes who buy a midas in Dota 2 to be the same heroes that want one in Overthrow.

Doom - Devour Rework:
Give Devour a GPM passive to make up for the lack of bonus gold from devouring creeps, and make it an instant cast ability that can be used to gain the abilities of creeps that Doom could usually devour, he could reuse the ability to cycle through all the neutral creep abilities (with the same cooldown and manacost of regular devour).

Why dont we just add creep camps: At this point you may be thinking why we don't just add creep camps to the map to solve the above issues, well we decided against that for a few reasons.
There are only a few heroes and items that require creeps. Chen, Enchantress and Doom are the only real heroes that need creeps. Enchantress is already top pick, she does not need any more buffs, so she doesn't require creep camps. Doom only needs the neutral creep abilities, which can be achieved through an easy rework of his Devour ability. Chen needs creeps, but adding creep camps for his sake does not seem worth it, he would still be a very low pick hero because of his complexity  (Btw, we do not have plans yet for a Chen rework, if you have some good ideas let us know). Midas and HOM are the only real items that need creeps and they can be fixed with a rework.
Also, there is the worry that creep camps would not be worth visiting (even for the 3 heroes that require creeps), it would have to be worthwhile the hero's time to leave the inner gold circle to go to the creep camp, losing valuable EXP, GOLD, GOLD COINS and KILLS, which is likely not going to be compensated by killing neutral creeps. You could alleviate this problem by adding the camps very close to the center, but then you are redesigning already well designed, tight maps, which could cause a backlash as 90% of games would have no use for creep camps, so players may wonder why we changed the maps for seemingly no reason.
So given that only a tiny amount of heroes and items need creep camps, and even if they were added might still not be enough to justify using them, it just didn't make sense to make major reworks to the existing maps.
Anyway, that is our thinking on the subject, looking forward to hearing your thoughts.
