To my US and UK fans

Hello everyone. We are here once again because the powers that be made it fit to screw us over once again, and Pixiv, who is only trying to survive had its own hand forced and now is limiting access to what you see in Pixiv, and I'm sure content like my own will be affected if you live in the US and UK. You can read all about Pixiv's new policy change here: https://www.pixiv.net/info.php?id=10829

Pixiv itself as offered or implied the solution, that is to say if you llive in the regions affected you need simply change the location. Go to your Settings to check your Country/Region and change it to Japan. Do this even if you are not affected just in case every corner of the West becomes limited in access.

Here is an example:

As an addendum to this, I also suggest you to get a VPN. Why? Because maybe Pixiv, as a last resort, and might ban US and UK IP addresses. Not to fearmonger, but let's just have all our bases covered. There are plenty of free ones out there as you need only to choose a non-US and UK location. I myself have used one when my ISP was wonky and I couldn't access this site. Mine is called VeePN in the webstore. Haven't used it in a while though.

Example:

We can only hope that they don't utterly go back to being a Japanese-only site as it would seem dealing with Western institutions is a massive headache. Then we might have to actually pay for VPNs to get Japanese locations. I hope not.

Finally, spread the word to people you know about these methods if they use Pixiv, just in case. I would say "sorry for the incovenience" but this is wholly out of my hands. Stay safe out there, everyone.

So far it seems like changing location to japan fixes....most things for real. I hope everyone is doing so!

For all of Pixiv's failings, Patreon is much worse. The way I draw these characters, and the "cute and funny" ones especially, would be problematic in Patreon. Indeed, many Pokegirl artists simply age up the characters to get around this and even then I am not totally sure. Prior to the credit card companies and payment processors going after Pixiv, Patreon has been censorious on its own accord and constantly change their guidelines creating much confusion. Even now with the downfall of Gumroad and the changes on Pixiv, Patreon has also made changes--wherein the characters must provide clear consent when engaging in sexual acts as if they are real people. It's such a nuisance I don't want to deal with.

Why don't you just drop Pixiv all together and go else where such as Patreon?
