Radioactive Joltik Blood
Team Plasma experimented on a Joltik causing it to become off color, being a striking red with blue eyes. It also has a unique ability. It bites Ash who tried to save it causing Ash to mutate and becoming part Pokemon. He sprouts a new set of arms, he can walk on walls, and even dish out a zap or two. He catches the Joltik and the two have a weird link.

Chapter 1

Team Plasma seemed innocent on the surface. In the public eye they preached the liberation of Pokemon. They felt Pokemon Battles were barbaric and objected the Pokemon League, protested against Battle Clubs and Contest Halls. The sad part is people bought into their fake concerns, Plasma collected money from their supporters, claiming they needed it to challenge a powerful organization such as the Unova League.

There was a lot of problems with Team Plasma, a lot of people claimed that they weren’t the holy organization they claimed to be. Their efforts to “liberate” Pokemon by manipulating the trainer to release their Pokemon, or by taking the Pokemon by force. It was even believed their donations weren’t be used for what they claimed.

While people didn’t want to believe it, the rumors were true. Team Plasma wasn’t as noble as they seemed, they used their funds to expand their research and their leader Ghetsis was secretly plotting as he used the funds to experiment on Pokemon.

Ghetsis seemed like a kind man, he was able to spin pretty words together and wrap people around his fingers. Most of the grunts in Team Plasma didn’t know the true purpose.

The Shiro Grunts were the believers, who went out and preached to the people to liberate their Pokemon. The Kuro Grunts were ones that used Pokemon, and would battle trainers with serious conditions of forcing them to release their pokemon if they lost or straight up stealing them. They were more radical that the Shiros, believing the use of Pokemon was a necessary evil to bring about the liberation.

It was quite genius, Ghestis used the Shiro Agents to preach a truth, which masked his true truth. Then he used the Kuro Agents, who used Pokemon for the sake of their ideals, as pawns for his own ideals. His biggest obstacle was the Pokemon League...

The Pokemon League encouraged trainers to catch, battle, and train pokemon making the monsters stronger. Unova had the largest number of gym leaders compared to any region, plus there was the Elite Four to contend with. If that wasn’t hard enough there was the Don George family, a skilled family of battlers who started up the Battle Clubs. As for the Champion Alder...Ghestis didn’t see him as a threat, merely a fool, that could be bested at his leisure. This made them a threat for his goals of domination. His promises of a Utopia where people and pokemon lived side by side in harmony was all smoke and mirrors. He’d make a Utopia, one in his image where he ruled as a king, with an army of Pokemon that couldn’t be stopped.

As it stood he didn’t have the power, money, or resources to challenge the League, so he invested the money they collected into researching and experimenting on Pokemon. Pocket Monsters were already mysterious creatures, so he sought to use science to manipulate them. It was all a stepping stone to controlling the two great pillars of Unova.

Even if his experiments couldn’t be mass produced he saw a future where his army had unique moves not seen in this region, new abilities never seen before, maybe he could even find a way to modify a Pokemon’s type! Legends of regional variants had graced his ears before, so he imagined he could force it.

So many possibilities and Team Plasma would discover the secrets for him. He had labs all across the Unova region. Ghetsis felt it stroked his ego to have his operations right under the nose of league experts and scientists. One of his labs was near Nuvema Town, right near Professor Juniper’s Lab.

One of the biggest experiments was on Joltik the Attaching Pokemon, a Bug and Electric Type. Typically Joltik clung to larger Pokemon and absorbs the static electricity, storing it in a special pouch. Team Plasma was doing an experiment of force feeding all manner of energies into the Joltik.

The radioactive energy they charged him witch caused something to occur. Joltik turned red, the blue claws and eyes he had turned a deeper shade of blue. The experiment was painful, causing Joltik to take damage, over and over again. His body changed and it gained the ability Volt Absorb. So his body healed from the voltage.

His new ability wasn’t the only change, he gained a new move Stun Needle! He could fire red needles from his body that not only did damage, but also paralyze! This power was very unique as it could even paralyze Electric types.

Team Plasma learned this the hard way, when they had two Emolga try to move the asset. The Joltik used Stun Needle and paralyzed the two allowing it to escape.

Joltik was crazed attacking anything that crossed his path. It was seeing red, suffering from an overload of that energy.

As it happened Ash Ketchum had just come to Unova. The trainer from Pallet Town and his partner Pikachu had a bit of a run in with Zekrom. Pikachu was suffering from a massive overload from the legendary pokemon’s power.

Using a machine they managed to draw out the overwhelming power, but it was a huge beacon for the Joltik. Pikachu was fine. “Buddy!” Ash hugged his friend, the monster nuzzled back.

Juniper had a lot of questions but those had to wait. “JOL!” An angry cry made them turn head.

“Who’s that Pokemon?” Ash asked.

The tiny red bug growled and crackled. “It’s a Joltik...but I’ve never seen one that color before.”

Ash could tell it was in pain. He reached out to the little guy. “Ash wait, something is wrong with it!”

Ketchum shook his head. “I know, but it needs help!”

Pikachu understood that his trainer had a good heart, danger be damned. Joltik attacked and Pikachu tried to fend it off. “Pika!”

“Tik!” The two were flast, clashing and butting heads.

“Pikachu…” The mon gave him a look. “Got it use Thunderbolt!” He was rampaging, in order to help him they had to beat him first. Pikachu unleashed the move, but Joltik simply absorbed it.

Juniper’s eyes widened. “That’s impossible, that’s Volt Absorb!”

“Pikachu use Iron Tail!” Pikachu hit the tiny bug and it slammed into the wall.

“Jol!” It fought back using Stun Needle. The electric mouse monster got stung and red electricity ran through him, signaling paralysis.

“But that’s impossible...what move was that?” Juniper asked.

Defenseless Pikachu couldn’t move as Joltik shot towards him. “Pikachu!” Ash jumped in the way and took a bite from the bug. “Ahhh!”

“Ash!” Juniper cried out.

There was another flash of energy. Joltik was looking for an outlet for its pent up energy and it just found it. From the bite, red streaks began to race through Ash’s body. It looked almost looked like a strange circuit board.

Ketchum seized up and collapsed. “Pika-Pi!” Pikachu panicked as his trainer spasmed.

Joltik blinked, the overload of radioactive energy just found its release.

In his body Ash’s cells were being stimulated by the monster’s bite. “Nnnggh aaaahhh gaaaah!” Ketchum bucked. His whole body felt like he was being electrocuted and burned at the same time. Having owned both Electric and Fire Pokemon he knew this feeling, but this felt like it was happening from the inside out.

Joltik had been driven mad and mutated by this energy, it had no way of knowing what would happen, especially not this.

Ash began to sweat. “Aaahhh!” His eyes glowed and his canines sharpened into fangs. He got taller, his body going through back to back growth spurts. Ketchum’s cells were being stimulated and his body continued to mutate.

The muscles in his arms and legs became enhanced. New muscles and nerves began to form in his hands and feet. His insides changed, becoming a mix of monster and human. The guy’s organs were enhanced and optimized.

Ash’s body sparked, giving up an electric charge. “My word!” Juniper gasped.

Rip Rip!

To paint a picture of what just happened, tiny Joltik’s, vestiges of the radioactive energy that Joltik just pumped into his body, took samples of Ash’s bones and began to weave new bones for him. This caused Ash to sprout two new arms, which ripped out of his shirt. While doing this Ash’s entire skeleton became tougher than a Steel type. His bones and joints were now made of tougher stuff, making him incredible flexible.

As if to signify the change Ash got little yellow streaks in his hair, making it look like he had little lightning bolts in his dark locks. Everyone was shocked at this turn of events.

Joltik began to cry thinking he had killed the human. ‘I’m sorry...I’m sorry...I didn’t mean to...it was them...they did this to me...I couldn’t stop it...I couldn’t…’ Just as he was about to bolt.

‘It’s okay…’ Joltik stopped and turned towards Ash. ‘It’s alright, I’m fine...I just need a little nap…’

Juniper checked him out. “He’s alive he’s just unconscious.”

Oshawott bared witness to all this, becoming interested in the trainer from Pallet Town.

Ash wakes up to find he’s not the same as he was before. He’s got extra arms which is neat, but he can also walk on walls. Turns out the mutating bite from Joltik gave him traits from both bug types and electric types.
