Something about my games

Dear all

I have been asked how I work with the game and some very good proposals how to improve it. Thanks a lot.

The game is designed by me. So far I have planned 5 games where ‘Room for rent’ was the first game. ‘My best friend’s daughter’ was my second game and the third game is ‘My first love’.

I do all by myself. I create the images, write the code and story and take the main part of the support.

From the very first day it has been my plan to make a new release every month. So far I have been able to keep it. Some months even had 2 releases.

So far I’m working on release 32 where the first episode of ‘Room for rent’ was release 1.

As you might understand it is a huge job to generate approximately 600 new images per update.

Coding and story writing is a huge job too and especially the implementation of images into the game is time consuming. I work day and night on these games. I try to keep the weekends free but it’s tough. I have a full time job besides this too…. And a family!

Why don’t you hire a story writer?- Sorry I can’t ..the mix between the images, text, coding etc. is really merged so it will be impossible to gain the right expression if I don’t do it myself.

A new episode starts with a brief list in an Excel sheet with the events I want to build in. After that I make the event list with conditions and right story order. When I start to create images the event list will chance. Sometimes I get new ideas or something it wouldn't work when I start the image design.

During the images production I always find new ideas. The same when I start coding, so all in all its one big mix.

When the game is almost finished my alpha team get the code. Thanks to Cerberus – It’s now working in GitHub so it’s now much more in control. My alpha team proof read the text and always have some suggestions that I try to fulfil. When game is ready for alpha test I have already been through it several times. At the beginning of a game there are always zillions of bugs but the more episodes the less bugs occur – Unless I implement new features like gallery etc.

I’m very lucky as I have the best alpha tester in my team – Lukumo. He is really ‘pain in the ass’ 😊

He finds everything! 😊Thanks to him there is always a WT and he makes great support too.

My fourth game will be available within a year or so. The name of the game is “Return to Celavie islands”. You might be able to figure out what it is about.

I’m working on next episode. For me it looks like to be the best episode I ever have made (My personal opinion) I’m looking forward to release it at the beginning of December for my top supporters. It will contain no less than 800 new images and many tasks and small challenges.

Wish you all happy playing

Cheers

/Bob

I personally hate anal and I try to avoid scenes like this (I only play it when it needs to be triggered). Like in real life, I think sex is best at home, I don't like sex where you can get caught (but I don't have any problems with it in the game).

lukumo

The time after the first sex can be interesting, too. Just because you start screwing doesn't mean every goes now. There still can be stuff to be explored. Get her to take a creampie, get her to do it outside, get her to do a quickie on a toilett, get her to do a threesome, get her to do anal etc.

We all like different things, I hope you will be happy with the new game. I personally like the first part of each game the most. Before it gets to the first sex, after that it doesn't get as interesting (for me). You're right it's better to point out things you don't like than to remain silent.

lukumo

Thanks for your input. This is an adult game. In my opinion the 'foreplay' is the most interesting part and games get bored when it's just a question about fucking as many girls as possible. I could have stopped MBFD after episode 10. I must admit that. Some players love the last episodes- Some does not. My new game 'My first love' has different structure and much challenges with slowly progress, but hopefully - extremely teasing. I appreciate your input and I do not disagree. As mentioned before - I always start to make the story from the end (Where do we go) and write the remaining part afterwards.

Critique is meant to help the developer. Not fore the sake of being negative or a smartass. I really liked Room for Rent and the first half of My Best Friends Daughter. I didn't enjoy the the last episodes so much except the one with the waterfall. I don't want to see the game going downhill. That's why I write my opinion on problems I see. I would be fine with updates every two months. Still faster than every over game out there. There is no shame to get help from somebody. Most movies before they go to the cinema will be presented to a test audience. To see the reactions and hear what they say about it. And sometimes they change the ending or some other stuff. Rambo for example originally ended with John Rambo dying. The audience didn't like that at all, so they changed it to him being "rescued" by his former commander. And just like that we have the start of a long and successful movie franchise. Critique doesn't have to be a bad thing, you know.

Personally, I think for a 'one-man-band' you do a spectacular job! Better than most who have teams of people! Love the graphics, love the storylines and the game play! Keep on keepin'-on!

Old Salt

Even though it's a bit silly and naive, I really love your work... Just keep it sexy and funny, not too many serious issues like so many other games have, and I'm happy! Cheers!

I don't know any other game developer who works alone and posts an update every month. The people who criticise you should try to create an image and render it, so they will see how much work has gone into it. If you look at the number of pictures, you make every day, at least 20 pictures, every day of the month. Plus writing the story and the code. You still have a full time job and a family and you still have to sleep!!!! In my eyes, it is an inhuman effort that you make every month. That's why I admire you.💖

lukumo

As long as it is funny, I’ll not burn out. My alpha team is a great help.

Bob Bobson

You need to take care of you. If not, you burn out like so many others. Im sure you can outsource some of your stuff, just try to let it go :)
