These didnt need to be super detailed as they would form the basis fo rthe artists to sketch their background art over; the pages of the book are much more lush than these quick renders..
I tried to imagine the plasticrete fortress on a rocky promontory looking out over lower Arrakeen tot he space port in the distance, visible accross the city, and in the other direction the ramparts of the Shield Wall mountain range that protects Arrakeen from the brunt of the desert storms.
Again, its probably fine now the book is out, but out of an abundance of caution please keep these pics under your hat for now!
