Dodge Viper (SR I) RT/10 – 1992 (Assetto Corsa Mod)

Based on the idea of a modern-day "Cobra", the Dodge Viper was born, revealing itself to the world in the 1991 edition of the legendary race "Indianapolis 500", where it was chosen to serve as the pace car for the race. Its sleek design and massive V10 engine instantly caught the attention of the crowds and cemented the Viper's status as a true American icon.

One of the defining characteristics of the Dodge Viper is its pure focus on performance. Unlike many modern sports cars of the time, the Viper has no electronic driver aids or comfort features that could potentially detract from the driving experience. Instead, the Viper is all about raw power, with its huge naturally aspirated 487.6 cui V10 engine, producing extraordinarily high torque throughout the entire power curve.

Car and Driver magazine call it “a shoddily whacked-together animal—no brains, all muscle.”

This stripped-down approach to performance is part of what has made the Viper such a beloved icon among car enthusiasts, and why it remains a true driver's car to this day.

Starting from the base model, I adjusted several specifications of this Vintage Supercar from the 90s, trying to bring its driving/performance closer to that of the real model, based on the available tests carried out, which, although not always concurrent, allow an approximate idea of the capabilities of this impressive car.

Main Specs adjusted were: engine & power curve, weight, aero/wings, suspension, brakes.

Also reworked/adjusted the Visual/3DModel, namely: Fog lights, Side blink lights, Dashboard highbeam light, Dashboard glass (correct rainfx), Exhaust smoke.

1992 model year, was only available in Viper Red, roadster version, without the hardtop. I left 3 more colors to complete the list of the 4 official colors available in this first edition of the Viper, between 1992 and 1994.

As for the sound, I made some changes, the main one being the introduction of the VIPER sound mod by SCIBSOUND.
