80s Street Rivals - Vintage Hypercars

Porsche 959 S vs Ferrari F40

More than two Supercars from the 80s, these are true vintage Hypercars.

The Ferrari F40 was revolutionary as it brought a true racing car to the street, being in 1987 the fastest and most powerful car available on the market.

The Ferrari F40 was the first road legal production car to break the 200 mph (322 km/h) barrier.

Rival Porsche, after having launched the also revolutionary 959 in 1986, decided to present an even more advanced version, the 959 S (515PS), capable of competing on equal terms with the F40, even surpassing its top speed record, and setting a new maximum for street cars - 339 km/h (211 mph) as tested by Auto, Motor und Sport at the Nardò Ring in 1988.

The Porsche has more power and four-wheel drive, but the Ferrari is 200kg less, and that on the track can make all the difference!
