Feedback Needed - Leaving Webtoon

Hi!! So...we sort of want to talk about something that's been bothering us for a bit and really need feedback from you guys. Were gonna be totally honest with you.

WERE GOING TO LEAVE WEBTOON COMPLETLY

I'm sure it's not a shock to anyone, but we have pretty much decided over this last month to Leave Webtoon completely. HERE IS WHY:

Were just super, insanely unhappy. We just hate webtoon. We do not hate YOU. Just the site itself and the sort of toxic pool it's built and all our bad experiences. We love and cherish you guys a whole bunch, which is why were writing this! We need feedback to help us navigate forward.

We started making comics for fun together a while back (even though we had no idea what we were doing lol) But after 5 years on Webtoon we feel not only 'corporate' but we don't like what were doing and feel like Webtoon is actually completely smothering any creative drive we have. Everything is rushed, were not happy with how it looks & we don't want to be those people. We want to make comics for fun, for us, for our stories and characters.

This may surprise everyone (probably not though) Jay and Barnaby, and Sugar Free are our Main characters and story. Losers Club is our Second main story and characters. It's why we have had so much trouble creating them for Webtoon because we constantly feel like it's not, and were not good enough. We feel greatly like were unable to use and have them because nobody is interested in them- because everyone and most of our audience came from It Hurts. (Seto and Raijin were based look wise on Jay and Barnaby and we get shit for it all the time). We are SO grateful to have the audience we have despite the issues and problems but it's really obvious to us that the only thing people are interested in right now is It Hurts- WHICH IS TOTALLY FINE. Were glad you guys like the story and characters, we love the characters too but due to the souring of webtoon we just don't want to re-write it right now or at all for the foreseeable future. Honestly we have tried but it just feels really terrible at this particular time.

So you guys know that when the whole It Hurts thing happened be finished the old version and decided to drop the story pretty much for now since no matter what we do we can't/don't want to work on it. Maybe we will revisit it soon but the hate mail has not stopped and people are even trying to hack into our website and emails  (we have their IP address and emails which was given to us by the Website Security plug in and we HAVE reported/IP blocked them and taken the measures to protect ourselves but we know it's mostly webtoon people because they are using usernames and stuff from us we have used only on webtoon & back when we first posted It Hurts.) It's seriously draining for us. There are even people on TikTok saying they are "Glad they bullied us into finishing the old version of it hurts" and that we are "stupid" and we should k*ll ourselves. And it's unavoidable we can't really exist in our spaces normally because we come across it randomly in the wild (or are actually tagged - yeah I don't know) but we just HAVE TO DO SOMETHING. At this point were just going to put It Hurts in a box for while and try to get away from it for our own safety and sanity.

We decided the best option will be to leave webtoon. NOT stop creating comics, but to leave the website. They don't care about us or our comic & do nothing to stop people from harassing us and being downright mean and rude. Most of them are younger- but it's not an excuse. Were people too. Poor people that work art for our job and they don't care if were homeless, moving, dead, or anything they just want us to upload our comic, without paying us anything at all while at the same time telling us terrible things. It's just too much.

A lot of our creativity has been ruined by webtoon. This is partially our fault! We let them get into our head and ruin countless hours of work and almost made us hate working on art. So we are going to leave the website most likely, were going to at the least pull Sugar Free from the site and never post any other stories there. We WANT to pull Losers Club from there too so we can stop being censored by the same moderation team that allows 13 year olds to read soft core porn in their featured webtoons. 

HERE IS WHAT WE NEED YOUR FEEDBACK ON:

...we are considering making another Patreon. One that is marketed to Losers Club, Sugar Free, and our Youtube Chanel were about to launch. It will not involve It Hurts AT ALL. Even the remake, it's being shelved for the time being until were ready and we do not know when that will be. We wanted to keep doing it but we just can't right now, We want to post our comics on Patreon and our website & youtube. We want to work ourselves less and try to preserve our health a bit since we got into the habit of doing TOO MUCH ALL THE TIME which trying to stay afloat and pay bills. :< We want to share our personal art more. As you know were Saint and Salem. Not just Salem. Saint draws too, he likes NSFW/pin ups and own's 1/2 of everything & feels really uncomfortable posting any of his art because 'YolkTea' was built around 1 art style only BUT were 2 people and 2 creatives and even though we share everything we BOTH want to have fun and draw and post without feeling like it's weird to have 2 artist under 1 account.

Were considering pausing this patreon, and making our new one and we guess our big question is if that would be supported by you all? It's okay if you are here because of It Hurts, but we want to make a headcount and just get some opinions before we do anything. This month isn't changing anything at all were still going to be posting and everything. It may even go through next month as well. Until were done preparing, but before we start it would be nice to know what you guys think.
