Haha yeah I hate when Patreon does that. And no, I get it, its a great compliment and yeah, its a bit sad to realize that some of the stuff that resonates with another person is because that person has suffered too and probably at least to a near degree. But it's okay, its comforting and just as cathartic for me to make as it is for people to listen, especially to know I'm not alone in going through rough patches, no matter how long. But yeah... thanks for this. I needed it. I guess maybe it's selfish or cringey or childish but when someone acknowledges your suffering, it's a very powerful feeling. Sometimes you just want someone to say something like, "I can see you're having a hard time and I'm going to acknowledge it. You're taking all this in silence but that doesn't mean you are being ignored."

fml I meant to add a new paragraph and accidentally posted it and it came out so mean, because I was doing a comparison where I was like, "fortune cookies do something similar but this is different etc etc) so I deleted it. I did enter instead of shift+enter lmao There's this thing I like to call "fortune cookie syndrome" where things are phrased just unique enough for people to assign their own meaning to it and make them feel special. This isn't that. It's too specific and on-the-mark and man, every single bit of it applied to me. It feels like you've gone through these things too, and while I'm so happy to find someone who validates me, it also hurts to know other people felt the way I did. I wouldn't wish all that on anyone. Just for clarity, I'm not saying that I'm the only one this applies to or that I'm the only one who experiences these things. Just wanted to make that clear lol

I've felt like this for a long time, people telling me that I'm not good enough, and I put myself down whenever I make the slightest mistake or when my family raise their voices at me for whatever reason. But I've always tried to lift others up, not really caring what happens to me, but when people ask me what I want to do, I can't really answer because I never really tried to figure that out because I always put others needs before my own and never try to ask anything of anyone. So, listening to this makes me feel a bit better, thank you Moon. ❤
