Proceed with caution whatever you do at the moment. As annoying as it may be let youtube sort it out (Though obviously keep pestering them about it and using as many contacts as you can). The hijacker trying to "give the account back" is pretty darn fishy. As someone above said, they're likely trying to steal more legitimate accounts from you. I do have a question though. Why leave the important upates on pay-patreon only? Surely it'd do well for everyone to see the updates so there's no conufsion as to what's going on.

The situation is still very fishy but let's see what happens. Planet Zero said that he wants to give back the channel to Astartes and that he can contact him at alexandercarson1 on instagram. Can somebody who has more private contact with Astartes notify him of this asap?

Well whoever has the control of the account the description changed again. The account is under the name Planet Zero now, and he linked his insta and twitter in the description tab. (@PlanetZero) I tried looking him up on insta but all i get is a long list of Japanese emo kids. Not sure if troll or wth

Terrible advice! What about when he gets his channel back with no subscribers? Just ignore the channel, don't watch or click anything in there until this thing gets solved.

It is actually like 99% not Caio anymore, new "owners" are linking their other YT/twitter/Instagram accounts and trying to profit - guys on FB made some research and found their identities. Moreover, it was indeed sold on an online marketplace with stolen accounts. There seems to be a lot of heat, so all new "owners" are backing off.

The best way of dealing with this thief is to unsubscribed from the astartes channel and wait for official word that the owner has gotten back the channel.

Since YouTube is still not acting, I suggest to everyone to report this new 1-4 part video stream or whatever is that supposed to be. I already did, simply stating that this account has been hacked, and should be returned to rightful owner. I reported it under spam or misleading - scams/fraud.

Now the account has been renamed to TheRealMicaro, streamed (in 480p) a random cut together of the the first 3 parts, before the full 4th saying that the 5th is out christmas, really badly edited all around.

Considering the lack of communication on the part of YT, this is obviously a pipe-dream but - shouldn't you be able to expect some sort of compensation for the lost revenue on the channel during the time it was hacked?

Any progress with reclaiming your channel? I hosted a few old colleagues yesterday, one of whom is a huge Warhammer 40K fan, and I showed him your videos only to find a bunch of ads splayed all over the screen. I was really disappointed I couldn't share how awesome your work is with a true fan (and knowing this guy's personality, he would make sure everyone at his workplace sees the videos). Are you on the way to getting your channel back or what is going on? Thanks for your great work, I know this must be more frustrating for you than anyone else man, hopefully this resolves quickly!

Idk if anyone seen yet. That idiot has put video recommendations from Mr Crazy channel on astartes parts but almost throughout the videos! Halfway on first part they come up, making astartes basically unwatchable. What a fucking idiot, I am so pissed.

YouTube has been standing on glass legs for quite some time now, but so far they've successfully controlled all bushfires so there was no major impact on the platform. But new algorithms they are introducing even though they are helpful may be their downfall. We'll see in time.

When I found out what happened I had to come here and support you a bit. I have never seen space marines represented so well and how they should be as in Astartes. The account getting hacked scared me shitless man. I hope you sort it out somehow. I wish you best of luck man. And I can't wait for part 5!! I am so stocked about it. Hopefully, this didn't prolong its release by a lot. In the meantime, it would be awesome if you can share some more concept art or storyboards, anything really. Cheers!

Have you tried threatening legal action? Might bump it up their priority list, even if you wouldn't ever do it.

Hey guys, I've been hassling for updates everyday and letting them know whenever the hijacker makes a change. I basically get told once a day that they're working on it. Unless there's some big issue I can't think of I don't really understand why it's not a relatively simple fix. But another YT contact has reassured me today that they're onto it, so that's kinda good...but I've also asked a few other Creators who've reached out to me to please poke any contacts they have to hopefully speed this up.

What an absolute piece of garbage. "I bought this channel fair and square." The fact that you paid for channel with a ton of subscribers, tried to post spam to it, got it immediately banned because of that, and then tries to whine about it... Real viewership comes from somewhere, so buying an account already puts blood on their hands, but on top of that, it's so painful to see someone innocent get caught in the middle of that, especially someone who has worked as hard as Astartes. I am physically pained by this. It just blows my mind that some people are capable of even remotely thinking like this. Like I get that they exist, but how? I will never understand this type of logic at all, someone not even having a shred of conscience. It makes no sense.

May I ask if you have all the finished parts backup in a safe location? It will be such utter bullcrap if you lose months if not years of work because someone hacked your account.

To be honest, I'm not really one to use Patreon, even though I think a place like this is great for artists to make some cash for their efforts. However, seeing your work and how much effort, detail, and sheer heroic willpower needed to make it all work is just too much for me to not want to give something back. So another warhammer youtuber by the name of Majorkill had their account hacked but has recently gotten it back and posted a video of the fiasco 9 hours ago. So hopefully it won't be long until Astartes is returned to its rightful owner.

In the meantime, it looks like the channel was renamed to Mr Crazy and all previous subs and videos were removed. Once you get your channel back, you'll have to reload and everyone will have to resub.
