well its all subjective aint it. Cause' i was commenting to my mrs just how on point i feel your direction and editing is. ON POINT. your action sequences and the shots/angles you choose are concise, to the point, convey the point and all in a smart timely manner which im assuming is just what you need to do with the runtimes you have at you dissposal. brilliant work man.

Amazing, graphic and atmosphere is perfect, but I think you should work on camera position relative to the objects. For example, in movies, characters choose direction and always run, for example, from left to right, and good guys against them from right to left. It helps you understand clearly what is happening for example in action scenes. In "Astartes" I sometimes confused by what is going on, and where I located:) This is just a tip, of course I could be wrong.

Someone at GW needs to recognize what gem they have here and let you work on your own animated series. All funded and artistic freedom granted.

I think you mean the right shoulder :) Retributors like to operate in many theatres as semi-independent squads, taking on high-risk objectives, rather than fighting en masse.

Really really really great stuff : I would like to ask about the left shoulder symbols : they are not the standard Astartes classification, so I am wondering what they mean. Given your attention to details, I suppose they are carefully chosen. The black arrows designate the team leader I suppose ? Those are special markings related to the fact the unit seems to be attached to the Inquisition ? Anyway, thanks a lot, and keep up the great work.

The amount of detail you put into a combat animation scene that has a run time that is less than 2 minutes is remarkable. You really are doing the Allfather's work here. I'm looking forward to seeing if you have any melee scenes in the next 2 parts. As I always say it's not 40K without melee. Getting smooth realistic melee scenes is something that a lot of film struggle with. It is a challenge that even multibillion-dollar film companies fail to deliver on accurately. Most times the fighting ends up looking too flashy and not martial at all, or choreographed so terribly that it doesn't matter how good the fighters actually are. Even if you don't have a melee scene in your next two parts I'm looking forward to your videos nonetheless.

I stumbled upon these 3 trailers yesterday after a member posted them in the 40k group on facebook. The only other fan made stuff I was aware of was Death of Hope which is a 30k short film in production. These 3 trailers though, for me, are just so well put together. Smooth and seamless in the editing and animation. And you show visually instead of using voices which works great. My only thoughts are the Astartes look a bit cookie cutter with no markings or differentiating aspects to their armour (but I understand time is a factor) and the bolters not having enough bass to their firing. But as I said it's all subjective and personal opinion. The final scene in trailer 3 with the plasma shooting across the open chasm was fantastic - I could name many more favourite scenes but that one I really liked. These 3 trailers put GW's Ultramarines Movie to shame. Really looking forward to what you show us next.

I don't know how, but I can feel that "whoomp" in my chest each time a heavy weapon is fired.

I cant explain how good this was! I watched these maybe 5 times each part. You do such an amazing job on the fluid transitions, great animations of movement, the audio and getting the Content done right! Also you know how to direct a scene so well! you create tension with the framing of the shot and the lighting! GW need to contact you and have you work on that series or let you do your own thing! One small critique: mirror the plasma shot at 1:36 so that it fires from left to right, in order to be more consistent with the general direction of everything prior to it. Maybe the same for the beginning as well.
