~18:15 When DK says congratulations in a rather sarcastic tone, the text actually reads closer to "at least he's kind", also in a very twisted way XD. You get the tone.
(And with that, the same goes for the thumbnail shot at 27:45; the way it's written is a bit bland imo. It's closer to "pretending to ponder", or something simple like that XD)
~18:30 Just to expand on the Lee Sedol thing, if you didn't know, he's the one who beat AlphaGo back in 2016. Absolute legend, even among those who do not play/know about Go.

Deffo Mingyu and Jeonghan. Mingyu is active but Jeonghan is more the lazy type.. Mingyu will do things himself, but Jeonghan will ask others to do it for him.

So nice not to have to wait each week for the 2nd part. And yes, Mingyu is smart!! Lowkey unfair how he’s not only good looking, tall, handsome but also smart 🤦🏻♀️ The brains of seventeen are defo mingyu and Jeonghan. S.coups I think is underrated too but he tends to be “people smart” I feel. Like he is strategic and knows how to win rather than academia.

So fun to watch both.

Even seventeen are scared of having Jeonghan and Scoups in one team together for games, they do tend to put them in opposite teams just so it isnt all gathered in one place lol

Each member has a different sort of intelligence (book smart, clever, witty, practical intelligence, pop culture, trivia, languages, humanities v science, strategy, etc.). Personally, I also love it when they all turn their brains off and embrace the void. You've gotten a taste of that in the latter (unhinged) half of Insomnia Zero, but there will be other moments like those.

Mingyu is like the adorable smart, good with numbers smart whereas Jeonghan is like charismatic, has svt wrapped around his fingers, tricky smart. If it were a movie, Mingyu would be the smart detective chasing after a tricky, clever Jeonghan (who knows how to uses his resources and environment)

2025-09-19 15:44:08 +0000 UTCThe members usually say "let's bring Mingyu with us so he'll solve it and we don't have to do the work" because Mingyu is genuinely just very smart and capable and also kind and helpful so they just tease him about it. Also Jeonghan is very smart too, and has a lot of trivia knowledge and just random wisdom in his mind he just occasionally shares with us. One time he jokingly explained to Dokyeom the theory of the red queen. If I had to pick a brain wildcard I'd say Jun! He's much smarter than people think and he's unpredictable with the way he thinks!

He is both knowledgeable and resourceful, in many areas of expertise. He knows stuff and also knows how to work around. Personally, I also consider Jeonghan as very smart. A tactician... While Wonwoo and Vernon as book-smart - knows a lot of technical stuff, trivias and random facts. While The8, Jun and Woozi have specialized intelligence. Like they're exceptional on their own interests and areas.

They're all smart in their own ways ofc, but i wanna give a shout out to these 4 specifically: 1. Jeonghan - he knows people really well, and is great at strategizing in that way. i think he shines in "psychological" games like dont lie. And hes the trickster/playful cheater in games lol 2. Mingyu - hes really smart in the same way you guys saw here, but his practical intelligence shines a lot. Like thinking of creative solutions for different problems (youll see in their other shows, how he basically gets svt to survive in the most dire situations 😂). I love his witty side too, like thinking of the title "Don Lie" and "TTT", and he's also the one who designed the carat mascot, bongbongie! 3. Wonwoo - the booksmart type. He's really good at strategy too like Jeonghan. He has that gamer sense and quick thinking (I wanna list off some episodes as examples but they might be spoilers 😅) 4. Vernon - he excels in like fact-based quizzes, has a lot of general knowledge and trivia! He's so cute, you can see that he has so much enthusiasm about learning new things and that natural curiosity I personally love these types of contents! I like a good card game/board game/escape room too myself. I watched devils plan too but I didnt get to finish s1 😅 There are so many GoSe episodes too that give their intelligence the spotlight in different ways!! I cant wait for those ~~
