I have no preferences in which order you go through the Japanese albums, I think going through their Korean albums chronologically was nice because it showed you a lot of their progress as artists, but I don't think it's needed for the Japanese albums. I agree with every comment telling you to check out any and all of The First Take videos for their Japanese songs, because they are one of my favorite things. I just can;t wait for you to start checking out more of it because they way their Japanese stuff is so different in a really fun way is just delightful (except Hollow which was heartbreaking and I'm still getting over that).

2025-09-19 13:59:45 +0000 UTCIt's kind of crazy how good it sounded despite being unstable and a bit off pitch when you really think about the circumstances of each song. The 4 main rap line, singing a song built for their vocalists specifically, after having never sang it before because they only did this switch up at the Encore shows not the main tour iirc. So, especially for Hyunjin and Felix who don't usually show that sort of singing in their other music up until that point (Even Hyunjin's singing was usually a bit more spoken lyrical than belting singing, and Felix was so above his usual register with those high notes). When you really take that into account, they did pretty amazing. And I think the Muddy Water switch team was really just out there to have a fun stage, except for Seungmin. He's there to fight Changbin for his job like his life depends on it lmao. #SeungminRapLineSupremecy. I mean, you guys have seen the clip from Weekly Idol where he beats Han and Changbin's time for a speed read/rap right..... It's actually from the episode (Episode 526) that also has that hilarious headphones whisper game or whatever it is where hey have to guess the word, and Hyunjin's all "Chan's stripping" and hell breaks loose. Tbh I was a little disappointed at first after everyone hyped it up so much. But then I remembered how much courage it must've took rap team, especially hyunjin and Felix who had never gotten real vocal training, never really sang on any tracksโ certainly not anything difficult, and definitely had not sang live like this. So two performance based rap members went out there ONLY singing, in front of a giant crowd, basically for the first time ever and did their best. Not to mention waiting for us was not their range and they were clearly freaking out. So for that alone I felt proud of them. That being said... vocal team doing muddy water kills me every time and I do go back to it once in a while. I wish they'd swap again because everyone's skills have improved so much and hyunjin/Felix have taken actual lessons in recent years, but I doubt that'll ever happen :(

2025-09-17 00:50:22 +0000 UTCThe way that Hyunjin, Felix, and even Changbin have improved vocally since this performance, I'd love to hear them do this again now. With that improvement and their confidence as singers, it would be cool to see. Nowadays, I think of the high notes in Escape that Hyunjin did or Felix in Deep End, but even a couple of years ago, Felix and Hyunjin rapped primarily. This performance stretched them. And it had to be nerve-wracking because they had to do well, versus just have fun. I think it was impressive for them to put themselves out there that way, and they did well.

2025-09-16 21:58:16 +0000 UTCI know it gets very confusing because everyone can literally do everything and they have the rachas, but technically Changbin, Han, Felix, and Hyunjin are the rap line and Bang Chan, Lee Know, Seungmin, and I.N are the vocal line! So they literally just did a rap line and vocal line switch! ๐ฉต And up to this point weโd rarely ever heard Felix singing like this and basically NEVER heard him doing the high notes like when he took over Seungmins (one of the MAIN VOCALISTS MIND YOU) parts! He killed it and I was and am still so proud of him in particular, and hearing it now makes it even better because you can so clearly hear his improvement in both skill and confidence of his singing since then! ๐ฅน

And since it was their first big tour their energy went a bit up and down. And this video just made me realise how hard they have worked and grown since then (and this performance was so fun don't get me wrong) because their stamina, energy, and the vocal stability of every single member is so much higher now. I loved this performance but I would love to see them redo it now because all of them have levelled up even further since then.

2025-09-16 19:02:45 +0000 UTCI have been waiting for soooo long to see your reactions for the Japanese albums and I'm so excited to hear you'll be doing them soon. The Sound is my absolute favourite Japanese album of theirs and my second out of ALL of their albums ! Only NOEASY beats it for me, to this day. It's that good! That being said, I do recommend that you do the same for their Japanese discography as you're doing for their Korean, and start with the start. They evolved so much through these albums that I feel like going back to those after finishing The Sound .... would be a disservice to the earlier songs. It's not gonna take very long before you're at The Sound anyway, as there's not very many tracks we're talking about, especially if you'll be skipping the Japanese versions of songs you've already reacted to. There's only 2 new songs on All In (All In & One Day), 2 on Scars (Scars & Call) and 3 on Circus (Circus, Fairytale & Your Eyes). SKZ2020 was their Japanese debut, but there's no new tracks on it, only a few japanese versions of earlier title tracks and about half of the Korean OT8 re-recordings they did. You've already done Top and Slump, too. (Scars was also included in The Sound, as it should be, but it predates the album by 2 years and all the performances of it (which I HIGHLY recommend) are from when the single released, not the album.)

I do agree that this Waiting for US perf was one of their weaker ones but it's such a hard song to sing in terms of range that even the original team I think sometimes had a hard time. Either way, it's so fun to see them switching unit songs. I need WAY MORE of Changbin singing. Do you think you guys will get to reacting to just the Skz clips of Masked Singer? That would be really fun.

I'm not a singer, so I don't know the technical stuff, but team vocal just seemed less confident overall (except for Han), which, can't blame them, considering the high range. Whereas team rap was VERY confident ๐ This performance also shows how much Hyunjin's singing, especially, has improved. In Karma it's so noticeable, where iirc he has a bunch of complementary parts with Seungmin. I also can't wait for you to get to The Sound! (Please be sure to watch the trailer, it's great, and there's a making of!)

I would love to hear more of Lino's rapping, he has this really nice low husky tone that would suit so well for something slow, something like Han's rap from Ceremony.

2025-09-16 15:03:46 +0000 UTCPlease donโt come at me and donโt regard this as a criticism of Seungmin in any way - he was brilliant here. However, what he was doing was copying. The flow and pitch were created by Han (ditto with IN - you could see him recreating all the characteristics of Changbinโs rap), and with his musical ear and excellent diction, Seungmin could reproduce it well. What Iโd be interested in is seeing what he could do when he has to create it from scratch himself. That is not intended to detract from their performance which I enjoyed SO much, itโs just intended as an analysis of what it was.

Unstable was a great way to describe it. But theyโve all grown and I genuinely think if they were to try this again now it would show their skills much better. (Also they were exhausted, burnt out and didnโt have a lot of time to practice.) They just didnโt seem totally comfortable or confident especially compared to Muddy Water which was just a lot easier to have fun with.

Okay, sitting down to watch this and i'm so glad you guys watched the original before the switch. Oh, I love this account. They always post really great copies of videos. I know yeonjin is doing like the laid back lazy rap, but I'm gonna need them to turn his mic up. But yeah, they all look absolutely fantastic here. Like, they absolutely body this performance. I love this song. Oh, my goodness, I'm so excited for you to discover this amazing video. Yes, this was a fan meet. I'm actually so glad that y'all were honest about that. Because it was the most unstable that I've ever heard them. But they still sound good. Like they were trying their absolute best. And I feel like Han and Felix actually shine the most in that performance for me. Now this one here, this switch right here is absolutely iconic. My favorite thing they've done... well before they switched solos, of course. And then once again, for the same part in the song, I need them to raise Lee Know's mic. But I've noticed that no matter what performance it is, Lee Know's mic tends to be really low. And I don't know if it's done on purpose. Like if he wants it to happen, or if they just turn his mic down? Oh Seungmin was absolutely feeling himself during this performance and honestly fair point, valid point. He should be because he bodied this song. Yes, I.N's tone is so sharp that he's always going to stand out no matter what he does, and that can either be a good thing or a bad thing depending on how he performs, but Seungmin! Seungmin is actually a rapper like you cannot convince me otherwise. he is actually a rapper. He has been rapping underground for so long and we just don't know what his rap name is yet, like. He ate that down. And Ian has gotten even better since then, I can't remember if y'all check it out or not. But IN and seungmin covered another 3Racha song called carpe Diem. Well, it's actually changbin and Hans, so 2basco, but they covered that at the most recent fan meeting, and they did a fantastic job. YAAAASSSSSS MAXIDENT ERA!! OH MY GOD I CANNOT WAIT FOR YOU TO EXPERIENCE THE JAPANESE ALBUMS!!! You also need to get into 3Racha's discography. Including their deleted songs

2025-09-16 12:25:56 +0000 UTCWow! I did not ever expect to see a live performance of Muddy Waters! I did not think enoiugh fans would know it to make it worth their while as a concert event. And perhaps they didn't, but it's still fantastic to see them perform it. I love their pure rap tracks, and it's especially nice here that it isn't just 3Racha but includes Felix and Hyunjin too. Don't have time to watch the rest of your video now, but I'm looking forward to coming back to it a bit later. ETA watched the second number now too, and itโs interesting. I could see how nervous they were. Hyunjin and Felix were literally shaking. Felix did really well, especially using higher register as well. More was required of Hyunjin and I think he was variable. Even Han and Changbin, though lovely as usual, werenโt having one of their best days.
