So yeh, we talk about it extensively in the video itself so we'll save you the lecture, but how the hell did we miss all these amazing vids of SKZ performing Maniac? It'll be forever a mystery.
Actually, not really, cuz Oddinary was one of the first albums we got to when we began reacting to SKZ on YT, and once we started Patreon, we kinda went from their first album up, so...yeh. This album was in that weird grey zone of "we know it well, but we really haven't seen anything outside the main MV" XD
Well, so here we are. And like we say, we HAVE to do another Maniac reaction vid, so let us know your thoughts after hearing our thoughts :D

Felix had just injured his back when this comeback happened, so they adjusted or created the choreo so he didn’t have to do much. That why he’s off to the side so much here. Most of their choreo don’t have so many down moments for certain members, not that I recall!

Skz choreos can be so satisfying to watch in dance practices. I think they did a vampire version Maniac dance practice too. I second the studio choom behind recommendations, they're really fun.

I like to watch those every once in a while ‘cause I feel like I tend to appreciate their music more to the point that I kind of neglect? their talent for dance. They are explaining and making dancer breakdown of Maniac, Thunderous, S-Class, LALALA and Chk Chk Boom. Made me look at SKZ dancing in a new way. 2025-08-05 18:25:05 +0000 UTCPoor Felix, the Maniac era still makes me feel bad for him, you can see how much he wants to be there in the choreo as well ... He was in the original choreo and in the MV choreo sections before his back condition was revealed. Also you might not realise that members are not in certain parts during concerts because they change it up sometimes... Felix was back doing the choreo and even had his dance break solo at the beginning for a lot of the DominATE tour before it became to much for his back and he had to modify his parts again.

But the dance practices are interesting to see how they break up the group and make the performances a bit more dynamic in a way you don't see during the official recordings because of the camera work. Which also just goes to show how much the knowledge that it will be performed and recorded influences the choreography. It's fascinating. It also gives members a bit of a break here and there so they aren't going all out for the full song. I do think you will find the making of for this Studio Choom particularly delightful. They were having a lot of fun.

I honestly don't remember you guys reacting to the MTV special, but my memory is also really crappy, so it's not reliable. Everyone's hair was so colorful in this era, and I love it. Hyunjin is always possessed when he dances, but this specifically was definitely his villain era. Yeah, even though Felix isn't supposed to dance because of his bad back, he can't help moving. I also wonder when exactly this dance practice was filmed. Because everybody still has their hair color except for hyunjin, but it's faded, and it makes me wonder if Hyunjin's hair was blonde and they just put like red spray paint to make it such a vibrant red or like how they did that. Lol. I cuss like a sailor, so I get the randomly cussing. I FUCKING LOVE YOU TOOOO 🤣
