[Tier 3] SKZ - Winter Falls (MV + Gayo Daejeon Performance)

We're finally at the end of Christmas EveL album, and like we tell you all the time, we never ever thought the day would come (and hey, you know what. We even went to a SKZ concert now. So you never know what could happen next).
It's weird to be revisiting the Gayo Daejeon video (although we only reacted to the Winter Falls segment for different reasons), not to mention talking about SKZ with a much fuller, comprehensive understanding.
We talk a lot in this one not just about the music, but about SKZFLIX and all that, so let's just get to this one right away :D

I love the Christmas EveL album because it's just three songs, but everybody has a song they can relate to. If you are a summer person, don't like christmas and are just annoyed by everything winterly "Christmas EveL" is perfect for you. If you love christmas and enjoy the time with your loved ones you will be happy listening to "24 to 25". And if christmas makes you feel sad or lonely (for whatever reason) you can find comfort in "Winter Falls"

I misheard it once while driving, and now I can't unhear it smh Hope you do the making video too, it's such a nice and easy note to end this EP on. 2025-07-02 14:45:02 +0000 UTCMV wise I think the Winter Falls MV is actually connected to the SKZflix universe. SKZflix is built on the Mixtape: On Track, B Me, Mixtape: Oh, possibly The View, series with the film club who keep breaking apart and those characters and symbols appear in those videos. In Winter Falls Lee Know is in the car like the one that crashes in B Me unveil and may be where he got the injuries before he was transported into the SKZflix world. So Winter Falls is the break up song of that universe, and like all those MVs it juxtaposes the group being happy together when there is tragedy around- so at the end everything is burning and ash is raining down but they look at it like snow as if they are happy. The View is kind of like the happy dream of Felix who always wants to unite the group and in SKZflix and Leave seems to be shown jumping universes to bring SKZ together in every time, though he can't stay. This is my understanding anyway ๐ . The making film for this is short but fun. For anyone who hasn't seen it, Chan reacts to the Christmas Eval mvs and chats a bit about them in ep 135 and 136 of Chan's room- you can find them on youtube ๐

I love this song so much and definitely my favorite from the album (might be because Winterfalls is a HANpop and I tend to always get drawn by HANpop ๐ญ). You should check out the MV making film! It was hilarious (as always) The thing about Stray Kids is that they tend to sound similar at times ๐ญ Back then, there was a debate on who sings which line in Phobia. There was also the rap part in Superboard where people are confused if it's Hyunjin or Han ๐คฃ

2025-07-02 05:58:03 +0000 UTCIn early songs stays can recognised whose skz's voice is but all the members never stop learing, training their skill/technique so later on it become harder. Hyunjin was so determinded with vocal training and finding his own voice (as mention in 1 kid room ep) that's why his vocal now is so versatile and can be so much smoother than before. Just like how Seungmin can sound so much like Han in the song Hold on that make stays thought Han was harmonizing with him but no Seungmin just said that he "eats" Han/Han's vocal deliciously

I know you have done a lot of the tracks from there already (FAM, Deep End, Up all Night' etc) ... but just wondering ... cause it came out after this and before 'Oddinary' ... Track 10 - '#LoveSTAY' is a great way to wrap up this era the MV is like a mini documentry of behind the scenes SKZ from Kingdom to Christmas EveL. Also I think Hyunjin started writting the song with Felix and I.N during his hiatus. Woud highly recommend even if you don't plan to do the whole 2 albums.

I love Lee Know's pushed back hair in this music video. Honestly, Lee Know and Bang Chan look like to mob members or like gang members or some type of badass dudes in this music video. It always confused me while Lee Know dropped the necklace and then walked over it like he was trying to break it, but it was completely unaffected. Lol, you aren't stupid Han-C. Their voices really do blend together sometimes. Oh, I forgot that you guys were watching a performance of winter falls as well. They look so lovely in their little Christmas outfits. Also, the choreography is so pretty. Yes, I definitely did not expect dancing to this song, but I feel like it fit.
