We're having such a blast with this behind the scene series, esp cuz we're revisiting the performances now with a new perspective (aka knowing the groups). This is so fun.
Listen, before we go on with anything, we do want to mention that we've ALREADY filmed our reaction to the NEXT episode (because of the whole SKZ concert schedule) so whatever you comment, whether it be about our discussion at the end, or about the Mayfly performances, will not be reflected in THAT video, but we're still all ears so comment all you wish and we'll talk more there :D
Also, whatever you imagine, you will get more because we absolutely LOVEDDDDD rewatching the Mayfly performances XD
Very excited to talk with y'all in this and the next episodes!
Enjoy <3

What were you going to say about Wooyoung? Seungmin sounded so good when he sang the line more extended when he was practicing, wow.

2025-07-08 08:49:02 +0000 UTCyeah !! i think they play the instrumental for them, and for the audience they add the recorded version over the live, if you remember the segment before the performance on the actual episode where they show them stressing on the rehearsal on site, when they’re monitoring you can hear its just vocals over the track !! afaik they never released any kingdom ver. songs except for the round 3 pt2 ones because the charting was relevant for the scoring ): I’m still hoping for their kingdom versions tbh

2025-07-06 16:22:53 +0000 UTCFINALLY but idk are you guys planning to react to the other skz intro videos? you guys havent reacted to star series yet 😔

2025-07-01 02:33:19 +0000 UTCI’m pretty sure it’s the live version because, aside from I.N’s voice “crack”, Lee Know’s also went flat in the middle and that wouldn’t have sounded as obvious I don’t think.

2025-06-30 22:59:29 +0000 UTCNever getting over my bitterness the score this performance got, not just cause I am major skz bias but when you see the effort that went into it and the creativity, it makes no sense. But hey, I’m not a professional, just a mere fan Love getting through the bts videos for this with you guys 😊

2025-06-30 21:26:15 +0000 UTCWhat I like so much about the behind-the-scenes footage from Kingdom is how MUCH it shows of SKZ's and 3Racha's creative and collaborative process. Chan, Changbin and Han were/are incredibly cohesive as a writing and production unit, and I love how all of the members worked together on the choreo, sharing ideas and spending HOURS and HOURS each day perfecting everything. But then again, they apply themselves that way in everything they do. Every performance, concert, album, festival, award show, and anything else. We all love our Chaos Boys, our PaboRacha and how goofy and hilarious all eight of them can be. It's like herding cats with ADHD. But I swear......when it's time to grind, they f*cking GRIND. All of them. To me it just brings home the point - once again - that SKZ have a clear vision of who they are and the goals they want to achieve, how much work they're willing to put into that, and how, as a result of their blood, sweat and tears, they have truly and undeniably earned every single accolade they've received over the years.

2025-06-30 20:44:01 +0000 UTCyep i loved how many different scenes from the preparations process we got, from the studio to vocal and dance practice to rehearsal. btw versachoi is a fellow 97 liner, so same age as chan. stays jokingly call him skz 9th member sometimes, because he really works with them soo much loll the discussion at the end about live and recorded vocals was interesting, i hadn’t even thought about that!

2025-06-30 19:56:23 +0000 UTCyes they watched kingdom in full (and also kingdom week) a whole while back! you should be able to find all the episode reactions in a collection probably :)

2025-06-30 19:54:02 +0000 UTCYeah we only have the performances to "listen", the songs mnet released were the ones from the end, especially written for the show, so like Wolfgang for skz. Han did amazingly considering the state his vocal cords were in. Changbin amazing as always, Seungmin starting the song is always extra special. Innie did great, it's sad the final performance had that little slip, but as everyone already mentioned in the kingdom episode, it actually made the desperate vibe they were going for really shine through. I really liked it. Felix shined as no-one can, Lee Know did great here and Bang Chan actually did lots of adlibs. You can hear him at the end part a lot, it's easier seen through his fancam tho, as he wasn't singing the main lines, the show camera didn't focus on him much. I really love this episode.

2025-06-30 18:34:49 +0000 UTCKingdom was aired live, so they couldn't mix it that fast. I think what we heard is the same as what the other idols heard. Also, they didn't release the tracks, which is so sad.

2025-06-30 18:34:01 +0000 UTCI’m so glad you guys are watching the performances with the reactions from the other groups because it makes the experience so much better 😂 but I am still in love with this performance and still BITTER that they scored so low after this 😭😭😭 I need this version on my playlist 😭😭😭

2025-06-30 18:11:34 +0000 UTCI hope they had a blast, and I'm looking forward to the after-report!

2025-06-30 18:05:19 +0000 UTCEven though the performance makes me so proud of skz still it makes me so sad when you said Han had to beared so much line including vocal line and rap line, it's because Hyunjin couldn't be there with them to share the weight of the song :( their balance is the greatest with all 8 of them!

2025-06-30 17:16:59 +0000 UTCThis was such an enjoyable watch. I love this performance so much, but it also always makes me a little sad for our Baby Bread. I hope he looks back on it now and is proud of himself.

2025-06-30 16:27:19 +0000 UTCIdk why but it always cracks me up whenever the performance director acts as the child during practice 😆 he's so cute

2025-06-30 16:03:03 +0000 UTCWe know that it's at least partly live, because there were some vocal bloopers through the competition (not just the tiny one from IN here, but from other groups). If they were not live, they would record over those.

2025-06-30 15:30:53 +0000 UTCDid you watch the whole of Kingdom?

2025-06-30 15:27:53 +0000 UTCI also loved that they shared the full rehearsal. It really does hit home how skilled and talented they are when you see that. I feel the same way about the more stripped down dance practices. Without the sort of spectacle of costumes or fancy stages, it's just them, and their talent and their work being showcased. In the real performance there's so many distractions, but rehearsals and practices give you a much clearer view of what's happening, especially with things like choreo, the formations, and even blocking and how they use the stage to tell the story. It's just so awesome.

2025-06-30 13:41:19 +0000 UTCThese are so good! I'm loving re-living the episodes with you! They have not officially released the tracks from Kingdom, but it's on streaming sites, coz fans put them out as podcasts x) Mnet do release the full stage cams for all Kingdom performances, and I do think you'd be able to tell much better if it's fully live from it (video is under 5 min): https://youtu.be/kpEsWOldi80?si=OD6wwC-IZ2haMrED To my untrained ears, it does sound live, but I know nothing XD We do know that for some award shows, the AR is higher from the official aired performance, and then fancams has a much better live sound, so it must be post production. I think Chan spoke about it on Chan's room. I always love the full stage cams, because you get the entire stage with everything happening amongst the ones who aren't on camera in the moment, you see 3racha doing adlibs and all the running to get where they're supposed to be. You even see how they filmed the disappearing baby in this one. The amount of work Chan does on these and how he re-works things on the spot is soooo insane to me. And that studio is Chan's room, where the live were done and where they record everything that is credited to Chan as recording engineer. Also, I.N's core, singing like that ?! INsane.

2025-06-30 12:52:09 +0000 UTCYay. Okay, i'm back eight days later to actually watch. The I'll be your man performance was top tier, and I remember being so ridiculously frustrated with the voting results of this episode. No Han-C, you are absolutely correct. There is a little kid that disappears. It's so interesting watching this back and knowing a little bit more about Ateez. Oh, my gosh watch a miss again, makes me miss Felix's black hair so much more. Yes, this performance was so hard and the fact that it was scored so low blows my mind. I will say that watching this for the, however, many time this is, I noticed Seungmin's dancing more during this. Han actually looked entranced when they were rearranging the song. I'm sure they have an official studio version of this seong, but it definitely has not been released to the public. I wish it was though I would play that song out. I love seeing them practice in knee pads because I swear the way they can quickly hit their knees and then get right back up is wild to me. Also I absolutely love that han does live vocals when they're practicing. Thats our vical king Seungmin. Honestly, this gave me such elevator vibes when Han was tasked to get the high note using it. What exactly are vocal, nodules? But even still, he sounds amazing with them. LOL Binnie hiding in his pudding or yogurt or whatever it was that he was eating. That's funny, I think I just noticed Lee Know's workout gear, being from the lab and it's so cute. The Lee Know, translating for Han, always makes me laugh. I don't think it was talked about enough in this video, but I.N singing while laying down on that chair is insane to me, because I thought he was just laying on the led projector on the floor but being in the air adds another level of strain to the singing. And he sounded amazing while doing so, like the biggest of props to I.N. Not the JYP hammer dance mention. Lol, Han-C's face at the end made me CACKLE.
