Early Access: ATEEZ - Now This House Ain't A Home

I think Ateez has this amazing ability to produce a song that can be understood through feelings all over the world. What I mean is, they convey soo much through music and vocal composition that even if you don't know the language, if you listen closely, you can feel the message of the song. It's really rare to convey feelings using music and tones, not just words

This song reminds me of 'Home' by Three Days Grace even though have completely different sounds. They both address serious topics

It's true that this song is incredible. The first time I listened to it, even before trying to understand the lyrics, the music, the tone of each voice, it already gave me chills. The parts of each member are gems, strung together; here we have the most precious necklace Ateez can offer us. Thank you for the additional explanations that give even more meaning to the lyrics. I like the way Hongjoong helps us discover a little more about Korean culture; he regularly explains the meaning of the lyrics during his live.

OMG I love you! You expressed everything I felt listening to this song with words I wouldn't be able to say! And as someone who left home a very long time ago, and went to live on the other side of the world, the concept of house and home is very close and foreign to me at the same time. This is my favorite song of the album, I can't stop listening to it!

Ooh yes yes.. it does remind me of blink 182 "miss you" . Anw i love this song and the lyrics. Making me feel nostalgic.

this whole song is so Yunho coded to me... Who hurt my baby?!

To me, as soon as I registered what the lyrics of the chorus were, specifically the “mothers to daughters, who turn sons into fathers/ in time we all get taller, while sometimes feeling smaller,” I knew it was going to hold a special place in my heart. I feel like I’ve never encountered a song in k-pop that tackles generational trauma/pain and the patterns we unintentionally find ourselves having grown into, nor the sense of loss we feel when the patterns our parents inherited leave us unsure of what “home” is. And even if one doesn’t relate to the themes on a heavier level, I feel like, having gone through my twenties with my friends, we all feel like there are pieces of us that got left in every house that was once a home, and that we may not be in high school anymore, but at times we feel more like children than we ever have. On a less serious note, musically, I actually get a bit of a Post Malone vibe from this? Some of his later, more emotional work, but before he decided to try out country. It was a style I really liked, actually- kind of heavy, a use of autotune, a switch between a kind of rap flow and singing, around an emotional core.

Thanks for reacting! From the first couple listens, I wasn't too sure about this song. It was such a contrast from the first two songs. This song was one where I needed the lyrics to fully grasp it and it's message. It's growing on me now, and the message is beautiful ❤️ It definitely gives Enough and Empty Box vibes. Thank you for the additional context too! 😊

This is my favourite track from the album! I love the emotional B sides the most cause Empty Box and Enough were also my favourites on the last two albums. Thank you for providing the additional context, that makes the message even more powerful! This album is way too short but it seems we are getting more songs on the special edition and even solo tracks if I understood that correctly 👀

Omg I was registering and had to stop it because it reminded me so much of another song. I had to hunt it down... You were right with blink182, miss you, but also their song home is such a lonely place. And the "sub unit band" Box car racer has a song called "There is". The drum patterns are very similar and also the tone used.As someone who grew up with Blink I would love if these were some of the inspirations behind this track.
