I like the song, and I know that sample is used in a lot of songs, but I am most familiar with it in SKZ "Fam"....I keep intertwining them in my head when I get those songs stuck in my head lol

YAAY I was waiting for you to react to this. Han C getting stuck on the visuals is definitely all of us on the first watch through haha. Just for the Golden Hour title tracks this is my absolute favourite and I've pretty much had it on repeat non stop since it dropped πŸ™ it's the perfect summer song and it's so addictive! The rap verses are killer and Mingi's one is my favourite part of the whole song (not just cause I'm biased xD). In terms of the whole album I prefer Golden Hour 2 cause I love the B sides more

Can’t wait for yall to watch the Live performances. They went on a lot of variety shows this time around & the content has been amazing! Can’t wait to see yall react to Epikase, Seonghwa on Lee Mujin, & Tipsy Live.

Omg finallyyyy yesss I couldn’t wait to your guys’s reaction

I love this song!!! The song of Summer!!

Matsu Makky

And now Seonghwa in Lee Mujin service just dropped. Guess what song he's singing in the intro? πŸ˜‰πŸ«  Amazing!

Mingi said it's about the cocktail. This entire album is extremely slow burn.

Lol, I appreciate the attempt to analyze the music while surviving the video. Maximum distraction πŸ˜‚. I think this is my favorite of the golden hour albums ... It FEELS like the concept of a golden hour to me. I didn't want to like lemon drop, I wanted to be irritated by it's simplicity and fairly basic lyrics but damned if I don't really love listening to it. It's a perfect vibe, the flows remind me of hongjoongs rap in Eenie Meenie which was a top tier flow. The video lighting and color grading is so nice too. It's a great package despite me not really being the target atiny for this kind of thing on the surface. It kinda reminds me of the approach/videos for wave and turbulence a little more moody and grounded and vocal. (It also took me a while to love Wave because it was so different from the first two albums ... So I guess I have a record of anti summer song bias lol.) I've enjoyed this album arc, especially instrumentally, but it's not my favorite I miss the energy and concepts from previous arcs so I'm excited to see where they go next. (Though I HAVE seen some atiny doing some fun video analysis pointing out subtle parallels/references between this video and previous more overtly story heavy videos.) Anyway, that teaser snippet and boot portend a turn I'm excited about.

Excited for you to get into the rest of the album!! Kinda hoping you can review the rap verses on Lemon Drop also, if you get a chance. I feel like there's some wordplay, especially in Hongjoong's verse, that's lost in translation. Once you're done reviewing GH3, maybe you can give us your rankings on the Golden Hour series (ranking the albums of the series) and its title tracks 😊

1. Yayyy!!! I was waiting (patiently) for your review of Lemon Drop and GH3. 2. Cannot wait for the Epikase reaction! I couldn't stop laughing and I was barely 5mins into the show πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ 3. "Mustard on the beat" lmaooo, but yes, glad someone finally realized the beat and isn't comparing it to another group's song 4. The mv is HOT!! Just like Han-C, I needed to listen to the song without the mv to really pay attn to it. The vocal layering and harmonies on this song (and really the whole album) are amazing and just really pleasant to the ear. 5. I think a lot of people's issues with the Golden Hour series is that it's very different from The World series. Plus that's when Ateez's fan base and name grew the most (I believe). And maybe if I became a fan during that time, I would feel the same. But from what I've gathered from listening to their entire discography is that Ateez is not going to stick to one sound or genre. They are going to keep trying different things because they enjoy it. Like Epik High said, if you like the old sound, go back and listen to it. How can you expect an artist to grow if they keep doing the same thing?? Little rant over lol. My main point is that people should listen to music, be it Ateez or whomever, without expectations and just experience the music for what it is, and not what it isn't, based on the past or their own expectations.
