I’m not sure why, but I can’t seem to watch this video. Will it be available on YouTube?

The lyrics and MV, as I see them, is melancholy and sad. When you have achieved all career goals before the age of 30, but realize that you missed out on family matters. Yes, hollow is the feeling. Hyunjin's voice when reaching for the sun but falling to the ground makes me tear up, as well as Lee Know taking Han's light/soul leaving him lifeless and hollow. We are and have been following their idol journey through their music, bold and naked.

I think its interesting and I want to pick it apart by repeatedly listening to it. However the echo hollow chorus section feels empty in a catchy way if that even makes sense. It tickles my brain in good ways. And hyunjin’s vibrating section of the song amidst quiet has a haunting quality that just feels so ethereal. That part makes me close my eyes and feel the sadness/loneliness that it conveys.

Han said on a Japanese program that the MV is based on Pinocchio so they’re puppets on the strings and then they get their “souls” and in the choreo their hands go up and cut the strings. Then they get greedy and Han, I.N, Seungmin, HJ… they all “die.” Han is also actually the only one who isn’t greedy and trying to collect the orbs at all in the MV and he winds up getting his ripped out.

My first impression of the MV was a little different, I first saw the strings coming off the members like puppets, then moves to them receiving the glowing orbs from masked ppl. Kinda like being handed fame. And the diamonds representing everything they’ve had to do to keep those orbs glowing. Then you see how easily they can loose their diamonds and their glowing orbs being taken from them. Ie one wrong move or word stray kids could fall. I think Felix at the end, in mind is saying even if they loose those orbs, they will still be together. I love that the song and mv can be interpreted in so many different ways!

I've seen a lot of people point out that the flowers on their outfits suggest a hanahaki concept, (Hanahaki disease is a when a character begins to cough up flower petals due to unrequited love) and by the end of the MV, their flowers are wilted, emphasizing that hollow feeling. They're seeking those marbles/lights (love and validation) but are taking it away from those that need it; Lee Know taking Han's, Bang Chan taking it from the pool of water, Seungmin from a box, and finally Hyunjin tries to essentially take the light from the sun. I think at the end, Felix having all the marbles/lights is more symbolic than I originally thought. Assuming there's 8 of them, they're all together, which to me feels like it's saying "We only need our own individual lights and as long as we're together, that is enough" or perhaps "Even if we lose our way for a moment, we are always together". The lyrics themselves seem pretty straightforward in that sometimes success isn't everything you thought it would be, especially in an industry like K-pop. They're constantly pinned against other groups that they're probably friends with, they're judged harshly for any misstep and their own expectations for themselves/ their success can become all consuming because what if one day it just all disappears? What if after enlistment, STAY is gone? Obviously we know that won't happen but it must be hard to not consider that as a possibility. ANYWAYS! I love this song so much, the beginning beat felt very anime OST and all their vocals were highlighted in such a beautiful way. I'm so excited for this album but especially for Changbin's song, I feel like we're gonna be crying my friends.

the music video took me completely by surprise, i didn't know it would be s soon!! and the song was an instant favourite! my favourite part was also chorus b, it just cratches my brain just righ!! i thought the music video was amazing, very eerie. i epsecially liked the scene when lee know ended up stealing han's soul or something, leaving him truly hollow.

Wait also, can we talk about the intro real quick?? The first 7 seconds before the song really kicks in gave me major Omori vibes - like something out of an indie 2d or psychological horror game. Dreamy, slightly eerie, nostalgic but just a little off in a way that messes with your head (in a good way). Tbh, I kind of want a full hour of just that intro on loop Me after the intro ends: *rewinds to 0:00 on Spotify for the 15th time*
