[Tier 3] SEVENTEEN - Ah Yeah (Lyrics Video + Debut Showcase)

OH MY GOSH.

Firstly, we didn't know Ah Yeah was a unit song, so there's that.
Secondly, even for a hiphop unit track, this was ridiculously hard, especially when you consider the fact that this is their debut album. Not to mention their skills :0...
And lastly, WORDPLAYS.

We go in depth with the lyrics as usual, since there are a lot of things that are either mistranslated or require further elaboration, but there was one thing that we TOTALLY missed and only caught while reacting to the debut showcase. AH YEAH itself!

Okay. We're still excited about this track XD clearly, so let's leave it at that for now and we'll let the video speak for itself. Please let us know if you have any questions, and comment your favourite link for Jam Jam if you have one! :D

Enjoy <3

One thing I'm learning from this reaction and your reaction to LALALI is that S.COUPS uses a ton of wordplay in his rap. I'm glad you guys are here to help me appreciate it.

Final Chapter

They experimented a lot with their lyrics and music pre-debut, not only the hhu but also other members. They have several mixtapes that they released as trainees. I especially love Wally, Like a Loose Cannon, and Just for Fun. They have that similar aggressive feel to them, like Ah Yeah, in my opinion. Hip-hop is my favorite unit because they are so involved in the song-making process. Their lyrics are always very creative and playful. There are going to be other tracks by them on future albums, and I hope you enjoy them just as much!

"You really like making babies" Plus the serious tone too really got me lmaoooo

Seventeen actually got a LOT of disparaging comments when they debuted. Between the large number of members and Pledis' bad financial situation at the time of their debut, most people thought the group would flop and disband early. This was the case both in the kpop fandom circles and also in the industry itself as Seventeen has mentioned a few times that industry people (producers and executives of other companies) told them to their face "you guys have too many people, you won't make it". So a lot of their early b-side tracks are them saying they have potential even if they're young or that their hard work and passion will make them succeed and prove everyone wrong.

Jade V

You're right about the other tracks so Jam Jam is performance teams song and 20 is vocal teams song
