[Tier 3] SKZ - Sorry, I Love You

Ignoring the usual off tangent talks XD, we had quite a few things to discuss musically despite it being a rather straightforward piece, some due to us forgetting about what Changbin said in the intro video regarding this piece, but either way, had a lot of fun talks!
So we hope you enjoy, and hopefully you can answer our questions about it being used elsewhere (though now that we remember what was said about this b-side, we doubt it was anything but a b-side for this album), and we'll see you in the next one: secret secret and silent cry! :D
(which, also let us know which one we should do first even though we'll be doing both in one sitting)

okay I'm back to actually watch this video. it is a lovely song though. the only thing that make me a bit sad about this video is that the backing track is so loud. I very much need the boys to do a killing voice. I don't understand why they haven't yet. Time constraints, for 7 whole years is crazy. I have no idea where you guys (or more appropriately Han-C) heard this before. unless it was just from the intro video. Lee know looks so pretty. i think this music video is the first one where I noticed just how much Changbin uses his eyebrows when he sings or talks. bang Chan is so good at staring the camera down. and so is Felix. And Hyunjin. NOOOOOOO D'some i heard the same thing. I thought he said dissect as well. The way I CACKLED when D'some said "stop saying we" when Han-C once again said we heard this before. I loved the harmonizations. that's hilarious. I didn't know that the lip thing was sometimes because the mouth or teeth being dry because I know when I'm rapping certain songs, sometimes my mouth will just naturally do that. but it's definitely something that I've noticed Han does, and I think it is really fucking cute and adorable. i'm pretty sure that his lips doesn't naturally do that. It's not getting stuck on anything. that's true. The vibes are definitely different from the rest of the album, and I'm not entirely sure how they connect in that way. But I love that song. It's okay Han-C. The boys have SO MUCH content it's so easy to get them mixed up. the way I cannot wait for you guys to watch that last episode of Kingdom Week and then to see the Oddinary trailer, which in my opinion, is one of their best trailers between that and no easy top tier. Like cinematic quality, I need them to be movies. Immediately Amazing. So yeah, I'm excited that we're catching up and we're going to be getting into those soon. Lol we love you too, sorry not sorry.

If you want a happy POV for love songs Your Eyes and There fits this so much, cheesy and will definitely bring out the skz bf vibe 🤣 Also I highly recommend listening to Silent Cry first before Secret Secret. ++ omg can't wait for you to get to 5-star recording!

Honestly in this chat is the first place I’ve heard the connection being made. That being said, again, I can totally see it.

The why on it's own is really a small thing, it wouldn't really spoil the meaning or content of the songs, just make you aware of what to look for instead of hearing it for yourself. But that is exactly it! Secret Secret existed for a long time, and Silent Cry is written as a response to it, much later. It answers 2secret, almost line for line in some parts. Hearing them in the order from the album would be like starting a film with the ending scene and then watching the why in flashbacks after the fact. The only point of contention would be what pov resonates with you? Either way, 2secret happens first, narratively. And 2secret is the oldest song, with a later response.

Now, just preface, because this isn't meant to put them against eachother, which it can often devolve into ... coz I don't have a bias at all, but hard pressed, I'd say I have a soft spot for 3racha (all 3 of them) and I would never imply that Hanpop is any less than what people say, or not deserving of the hype – Han really is THAT good. BUT it often saddens me how that becomes the only thing talked about, because Changbin's love songs really are special - even if they're very different from Han's. They're equally good. And he has so many gems that people don't talk about, or they forget that they're his. Like, "Neverending Story" is his. As is "There", "Leave", "Sorry I Love You", "Love is Painful" and "Because" to mention a few. A

There is also a "reveal" if you listen to them in that order. You realize something that I don't want to give away, so you both can have the same breathtaking moment I had while listening for the first time.

The mv is also extremely good, they're really feeling it while singing, so it makes it 1000 time more emotional I think. For POV mvs.. I don't think you checked their jp mvs? There and your eyes are very boyfriend coded, you cannot watch without blushing 🫠 for Your Eyes there is skz reaction video too, it's hilarious! Now, I cannot wait for you to react to silent cry and secret secret. I know expectations are extremely high, but I do hope you like them. Both the music and the messages behind are so beautiful and sad but hopeful and like there is so much emotions! no spoilers ofc. Cannot waitttt! (As a side note, there is an extremely good Han fancam for silent cry 👀)

I completely agree that the way they start off soft and slowly build up the power behind their vocals till they end in the heartbreak softness again is amazing and so nice on my ears!!!

I think the've used it in the intro or as bgm for something, because it keeps cropping up. For the next video, it really should be Secret Secret first, and then Silent Cry. A lot of their songs have similar themes but I wouldn’t group them together like musically. Depends on how you’re looking at it I suppose.

2025-04-15 12:31:39 +0000 UTCsuch a good song, sooo catchy!! this was prob the first skz song i got super obsessed with. i'd only heard like god's menu and thunderous atp which were too overwhelming to me who just came from listening to hiphop/rnb only, so this was the first song that made me go: "oh skz can sound like this too." i absolutly adore the way changbin writes love songs. it's also interesting how distinctly different but equally good han vs. changbin's love songs are! i think the order for the next reaction should be secret secret and then silent cry!

I highly recommend checking out Secret Secret first and if you hadn't planned it yet, watched the behind the scenes of their MV (it's one video for those two songs), because while their MV's are obviously very simple, the BTS of them singing live is just amazing to see!

Like how secret2 is someone who is afraid of telling others about their struggles, while silent cry is the response to that telling the other person to give them their silent cries☺️

Sorry and Secret are very similar in like tone and the MVs were filmed the same day. Also Sorry is a Changbin song and Secret is HanPop so fun to listen to together. I don’t think there’s a connect between secret and silent cry.
