Welcome everyone, to the beginning of an epic battle. Yes, battle, because we barely survived. And yes, beginning, because we plan to fight this war for a long time, and eventually come out at the top with SVT.
TONS to go through—first thing first, this is the very first proper look at SVT's dance practice video, so there's that. Secondly, the band live session, which we thought we would through in for fun, turned out to be a lot crazier than we expected.

Don't know if anyone's mentioned this yet but leading up to attacca's release svt put out an audio kit containing stems from / inspired by rock with you for carats to play around with and make music from! Quite a cool way to do a teaser without actually revealing the title track. Anyway since you are both musicians i thought it might be fun for you guys to play around with the stems and let us hear what u come up with! Maybe in the future when you come up to attacca in the svt marathon hehe. They released a kit for hot too i think

The accessibility makes for a great time for fans no matter what time in the early morning I have to wake up. I've watched them at least 10x between in person and lives just within the last year. It's so empowering and highlights that not only does he have talent in song writing but also in performing. There's something about the passion woozi puts into his performances that's breathtaking. Bias wrecker for sure. Stunning energy in concerts. And yes DK and SK have such a dynamic impact as well. Vocal kings. But I can never get over s.coups and vernon's scratchy contrast voice like han c mentioned.

There is a famous quote in caratland, once you listened to the live version of the song, the 음원 (music site track) version will sounded so bored that you will started to chant on their behalf while listening to it. (Me.. guilty) 세븐틴 찰진 추임새 때문에 음원들을 때마다 허전하게 만들기하는 그런 재주가 있음 ㅋㅋㅋ If you wanna check their lives more, even if its not concert you can either check their its live perfomances, or 2024 Weverse Concert (OT13), Seventeen Glastonbury performance (OT13 but the sound kinda sucks) or Seventeen Lollapalooza Berlin 2024 (OT12, Jun in China for his drama shooting). No matter which stage you checked I guaranteed a fun dopamine filled experiences. Tho you may not know all the songs but its gonna be entertaining anyway. I love you mention on the mixing part of the live band performances. Finally somebody speak in my language!!!!!! In Seventeen performance core, the main key and their 추구미 is 흐름 flow and balance. In order to achieve that, the sounds, vocals, dance must all be in up balance with each other that it sounded naturally but actually so many efforts put in it. Like you said, the more “easy” it sounds the more you know exactly how hard it is to achieve such standards. You never gonna catch them overhighlighting like vocal only or dance only just to impress instead they focus on the true core of performance which is balance. Can imagine 13 people working hard to match each other par to achieve the natural balance skillset. To be honest there will always one member behind and advance from each other but they strive with instant practice and self-development so that they wont dragged the team down. (I can talk about this all day).

I had heard several of their songs before, but this was the era that really hooked me into the fandom and made me love the group. This song will always hold a special place in my heart, it's just so good. But my Ult song is Don Quixote, and I can't wait to see you check that one out. Talk about an epic dance practice/performance!!

Like it would make sense for parts with really difficult vocal runs to have simpler choreo and then go hard on the choreo when the vocal lines arent as challenging. Just food for thought!

2025-02-25 22:24:24 +0000 UTCThe chanting isn't in the official recording, but I've gotten so used to them doing it in all the live performances that I actually miss it when I listen to the song itself lol. And indeed, Seventeen's choreos, just like their music, have a very unique "Seventeen™" vibe to them, with unique formations that are constantly moving, the divisions in smaller groups, the dynamics between soft and full energy moves etc... And the way they use both song and choreo to tell a story in a very musical-esque way is why people call them the "Theater kids of Kpop"

I think one thing that really brings Seventeen's sychronization to the next level is that they match their dancing style to each other/ the choreo. Other groups with equally skilled dancers dont always look as sharp due to indvidual members all adding their own style which leads to subtle variations that dont always look as clean. With Seventeen every movement is precise and everyone does it with the same intensity. Its so clean and makes them so satisfying to watch. And Seventeen members do all have distict styles, you can see it really well when they are doing individual projects which in my opinion makes their consistency in group dances even more impressive. They are so insanely talented! I also loved your comment on how much you like the sound of their live vocals. Seventeen is one of the few groups where I think they actually sound better live. Studio recordings can really compress sounds and you lose some of the finer details that make their voices so vibrant whereas live you can better hear how dynamic their voices are. They are so powerful live, its honestly addictive listening to them. Thank you so much for reacting! So excited to see what you discover next. Have fun slipping into the diamond life!

I don’t have any dislikes to their songs. Love their dance choreography as well, that is another reason I became full blown Carat… going on this journey with you two and love watching more SVT contents… let’s go…

They didn’t EXPLODE into the scene but rather slow and steadily rise to the top. Naysayers discouraged them saying they’ll never succeed cos “there are too many of you” and they proved every one of them wrong by being the most synchronised group ever existed, being synchronised is already a tough thing to achieve but with all 13 of them?!! Also even their dance choreographer said each one of them dance so well that they can be main dancers material in other groups. Choi Youngjoon said “it’s only possible cos it’s seventeen”. Ok sorry I can’t shut up when it comes to SVT hahahaha. Looking forward (rather impatiently) to more reactions to SVT.

Their vocals are that great. Plus they also do a lot of adlibs and vocal runs, as you have noticed, that just make everything even greater.

( I could say that about all their songs lol) There's just something about the energy and small changes compared to the studio version. There are so many songs that I end up signing the adlibs of the live version when listening, and for rock with you it's the chants at the outro! Not doing the shouts feels wrong and empty, it's a must when listening to rock with you. Cant wait for more choreo and hopefully more live performance reactions!!

They filmed a lot of the dance content in a rush before their chinese members (Jun & The8) went to China for promotions & stated at the time they weren't satisfied with the quality of dance & their live stages are better. Meanwhile everyone was praising them for their choreo & dancing. Its crazy how high svt's standards are for themselves cause most other groups would be satisfied with their level of performance in those vids .
