Thank you for another Seventeen video!! Loving all of them! I would suggest checking out Circles (lyrics and/or special video).

Aah Suddenly remember on the lyrics part of Homerun which says μš°λ¦¬λŠ” ν•˜λ©΄ ν•΄ (Urineun Hamyeon Hae) which may translate to We can do it but actually the phrase ν•˜λ©΄ ν•΄ (Hamyeon Hae) here refers to buzzwords (inside jokes) that is popular among Seventeen made by Mingyu. The context of the phrase is instead of saying we can do it, it is saying if we do it, it will happen (succeed) - ν•˜λ©΄, ν•΄ They use this phrase everytime when they were asked or given task that some are not sure if they are able to achieve or complete, so by saying ν•˜λ©΄, ν•΄ it is a reassurance that if we do it, it will be done (leave your doubt away) sorry for long explanation but I felt this would be interesting on how Seventeen just melts their inside jokes and everyday life use words into their songs.

I appreciate the Sausages musical intellect and their breakdown of SVT's complex sounds. It doesnt get better than this: the best group in kpop with the best reactors!

Home;Run is classic Seventeen to me. While it's more jazzy than their better known upbeat (like Very Nice or Mansae), Seventeen always have that "big band" sound to their happy tracks, with lots of intrument layers and horns as accents. Also love that the Swing genre ties into the whole baseball theme (because you "swing" a bat to hit a ball) ! I'm upping the _World or Snapshoot recs for more upbeat tracks, especially love the gospel vibes of Snapshoot !

I think you guys would love their dance performance for this song. There is one in particular where they switch from left and right to home;run, if I’m not mistaken, and it’s my favorite version because the production feels so grand. I highly recommend to check it out!

Okay ,first off thank you so much for posting this, today I'm running on two hours of sleep and did not know how I was going to get through my day! This video just made me feel a whole lot better! Home run is one of my favourites, and I'm so glad you guys liked it so much! I know I feel like we all say this every time but the dance practice and the performance which i know you'll eventually get to are amazing, it's truly one of my favourite choreos! As for the next songs to check out, I think Left and right or _World which are both really fun and upbeat.

Ohhhh the fact about Woozi being a baseball player in middle school is VERY cool :0 Thanks for another detailed explanation :D This really adds a lot of cool context for us!

Handsome Sausages

You're basically correct! :D It's definitely nonsensical, but it is written in a way that hints at it potentially carrying another meaning (because you really wouldn't write it that way normally if you were just going for some form of onomatopoeia), hence our discussion :)

Handsome Sausages

One of my favorites by Seventeen! I just don’t expect to hear jazzy swing from a Kpop group. Another one of my fave would be Snap Shoot with the gospel/church organs. The MV is fun too, with Mingyu doing everything from directing to editing etc. Truly a self produced group πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

Yay more Seventeen content! I was wondering if you can maybe elabortate more on the dadabada part you mentioned? Is it sort of a "non-sense" syllable like "nanana" or "lalala" that conveys a more intentional meaning because of how it was written in the Korean lyrics? I'm not sure if I am understanding correctly, but I find it really interesting! I'm learning a lot of new things from these videos! Thanks for all your hard work!

Hello Hello I am back for long commentary hahaha As far as I have fun watching your journey discovering Seventeen music. I have fun also adding context from the Era for new listeners to refer to. Semicolon (;) is if in a sentence is where you take a break in between a running line, if that makes sense. Its a continuation from Youth theme in 2020 where after their healing journey from Henggarae album, which they further dive through the idea of resting a bit in middle of crazy busy striving life. As 2020 is an era of Covid, its also relates back to where world is forced to rest due to unforseen circumstances. As you can see how they uses Baseball heavy references in the song to potray the messages, given that Woozi is actual baseball player in middle school. Home;run specifically chosen as to show how we can have a break and have blasting celebration of our life. Homerun in baseball game is where after you running from base to base and finally making a homerun round where every player is making it to homebase later would celebrate the success of hitting the ball out of the field. Then we start the game back until we finish all the inning. But the idea of how we actually have a break in between the game where we celebrates some small winning and then continue to finish what we started. And apply this concept to our life. The album theme also convey heavily on youth thoughts and agony (κ³ λ―Ό) and for the first time in Seventeen Unit history they releasing songs in Age Line (95z, 96z, 97z and Maknae line-9899) and discuss what they feel and all line have different vibes. And also the reason why Seventeen is not in the so called trend algorithm is because when everyone having a newtro comeback with heavy disco-pop 70’s-80’s musical reference in 2020-2021, they said yes yes we do retro-vibe too.. and took 1920’s-40’s broadway swing jazz just because they can. You cannot group that in the autoplay cuz of the genre which makes you easily missed this great song. But Seventeen has a thing where they not gonna ride the trend rather explore true to the genre they pursuit in making music. Kinda Seventeen-Styled-Stubborn not catered to casual listeners. The more you discover Seventeen Music, more you will see how well-versed Seventeen discography are with different sounds and genre they have. Some may have running theme like funk or future base but the real genre would be slightly different from another, and the subtle arrangement defines what its real genre is instead of grouping it to similar sounds and b-side man.. the wonder they have.. you can never catch them in autoplay cuz it rides different algorithm each time lol. If I were to suggest next songs, maybe Rock With You? Or B-sides Domino which is a very fun song. Have fun in the journey guys! Love, a carat.
