SVT. Yes.
Added 2025-01-17 23:13:22 +0000 UTCOkay. Here's the deal.
Killing Voice sealed the deal. I know. Shocker.
Yes, we checked out SEVENTEEN tracks here and there, and yes we do know some popular tracks, Han-C more than D'Some, blah blah, you know what's up.
But we want to know more about SEVENTEEN.
And we are considering reacting to Going Seventeen, or perhaps even their Game Caterers series first. And we need your help! :D
Question: when the time comes, should we react to Game Caterers first, or Going Seventeen first?
Question 2: This is reserved for comments, but for Going Seventeen, some people mentioned skipping the first season or so, just because it started off as behind the scene materials and took some time until it became the show it is today. What's YOUR thoughts on that, if we have any CARATs in the house?
Let us know! :D
Finally, please remember to look at the comments first and LIKE the comment if you agree, or reply to that comment to add more info, instead of commenting the same answer separately! This goes for both the 'recommendations' as well as the 'Going Seventeen' specific question!
Thank you all <3

I recommended Hybe Game Caterers to them what seems like forever ago, so I am anxiously awaiting that one!

2025-01-26 05:31:31 +0000 UTCYes, the Debate Night and TTT episodes are after episode #17 of the 2019 season ! That's why I recommended to skip directly to episode #17 after watching the logo song making episode. It might just be easier to start a whole season from the start though, and there's still lots of "filler"/behind the scenes episodes in 2019, so starting directly from 2020 isn't too bad either. You're not missing THAT much.

2025-01-20 19:15:13 +0000 UTCIdk there’s Debate 1 and TTT1 in the 2019 season I think it’s worth checking out the whole season before heading to 2020 but that’s just me 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️

2025-01-20 18:01:27 +0000 UTCHi, just joined from your Killing Voice reaction on youtube :) Definitely Game Caterers first then Going Seventeen ! I disagree that you have to watch Nana Tour right after Game Caterers, it hits better once you already know the members and their interpersonal relationship a bit. It could be something you keep for down the line though as Going Seventeen regularly goes on break. I saw comments suggest starting Going Seventeen from the logo song episode (2019, episode #6) which is a good idea if you're interested in the production-side of things (more like how they topline because the arrangement itself is done by Woozi prior to the filming). You can skip the episodes afterwards until #17 (Escape Singing Room) as the MBTI episodes (#14, 15 and 16) are a bit repetitive imo. Or, as I recommended in youtube, you can skip directly to the 2020 season for the most popular episodes.

2025-01-19 20:49:06 +0000 UTCOnce you get to GoSe…the “Ego” two-part ep is literally the BEST “scary” content of any of the KPop groups. Hands down.

2025-01-19 15:52:13 +0000 UTClike everyone mentioned, i really feel the order should be: - game caterers x svt - going seventeen from logo song making onwards - nana tour I feel that NANA Tour has so much references and inside jokes among the members that i feel that knowing seventeen as a whole and their dynamics would make nana tour more wholesome to watch. Also in game caterers, there's reference to going seventeen too so you definitely miss some of it especially the whole jeonghan directness, ways to cheat and all but it's a good way to know the members individually 😂😂

2025-01-19 06:14:49 +0000 UTCI agree that the episodes ‘경음악의 신 (God of Light Music)’ and ‘고잉 부석순: 컴백해야지‘ are good introductions to them and GoSe because they’re pretty central to Seventeen lore, and because 꽁트 sketches are their specialty 😄 경음악의 신: 1) https://youtu.be/QsfSOZLe-S8?si=LMN-XYBPnS1CPWuU 2) https://youtu.be/VJnLi4MksCk?si=gVnOZ8eWoH-ICwxb 컴백해야지: 1) https://youtu.be/sIDCPwLwFt4?si=_jCMaTdE0Njevbgx 2) https://youtu.be/pOXUxTASA0M?si=52dmYYzBKgVbuY4k

2025-01-18 18:22:41 +0000 UTCyeah going by the series would be good, too. it's another option if we don't want to go by years

2025-01-18 18:15:34 +0000 UTCYeah I also think that NaNa Tour is so much better when you know the members better!

2025-01-18 18:13:49 +0000 UTCUpvote for the logo song ep!!

2025-01-18 18:08:09 +0000 UTC100% agree. nana tour would be thousand times more enjoyable when you know the guys better. it could be overwhelming too cuz the eps are SO long

2025-01-18 18:06:37 +0000 UTCi agree that we should watch the making of gose logo song first

2025-01-18 18:05:22 +0000 UTCIm so excited you guys are going on a Seventeen journey. You will have so much fun, i promise!! Their music is great and so is their sense of humour! In order to get to know the members a little bit i would go with Seventeen Game Caterers first for sure its a good way to dip your toes in! I feel like you might want to ask about the GOSE order again after doing Game Caterers but ill still leave my opinion here. As many will have told you, GoSE started out as a behind the scenes series so the variety portion actually starts at Going 2019 ep.14 called MBTI of Seventeen I believe. However, since you guys are musicians in your own right and like watching the process of making music, I would like to suggest that before you start at ep 14 you guys watch ep 6-7 of Gose 2019. This happens to be the episode where Woozi along with his members create the ICONIC logo song. It is one of my favourite videos of theirs relating to GOSE, so I'm going to leave it at the bottom in case you want to check it out. As for the order, i know some people prefer to go by mini-series, but I don't recommend that, just go by year it will be way easier and i think much more enjoyable that way. You can see how GOSE and the members evolve, especially because most of the little series they do within GOse tend to happen once of twice within a season/year so go in the pre-established order. I'm sorry this is getting so long, but lastly i would say that from what i know the 2019 GOSE on the OG channel isn't subbed. I know that's not a problem for you guys since you speak Korean but since you usually react to subbed content so we can understand along with you, I will link the subbed version on youtube that i used. Others might provide better links, but from what I could tell, this one is excellent. As of Gose 2020 onward they subbed it on the official channel so no worries there! 2025-01-18 17:31:27 +0000 UTCI’m pretty new to Seventeen so I don’t know what to vote for, but I do hope you will watch the comeback specials, I’ve seen God of Light Music and Maestro, or should I say Mr. Ma Estro and his orchestra 😂 and they are so so funny. Also, I was shown a video where BSS was renegotiating their contracts, can anyone tell me where to find that? I almost fell out of my chair laughing 🤣

2025-01-18 16:48:25 +0000 UTCi think game caterers is an amazing way to introduce the members. The episodes are kinda weirdly divided tho. I would say the way you should watch the episodes is: episode 1-1 &1-2, then episode 1-3 & 1-4, episode 2-1, episode 2-2 (if you have the time you can continue with 3-1 here or do it later on, these two episodes are longer than the first 4 episodes), then episode 3-2. But obviously you can watch them one by one as well, it's just that the first 4 episodes specifically cut in the middle of the games in a way.

2025-01-18 15:31:02 +0000 UTCOMG SEVENTEEN YES!!!!! they're literally the funniest boy group out there!! i also think game caterers is the best place to start, but i just wanted to add that i disagree that it leads into nana tour. nana tour would be fun down the line, but definitely check out GoSe first. i think it would make nana tour much more enjoyable knowing a bit more about the boys beforehand
Marika
2025-01-18 09:42:48 +0000 UTCgame caterers and then nana tour would be GREAT introductions into both the boys' variety sides but also their more chill vacation sides....and then i say we go into going seventeen (yea you can start from 2019 episode 14 if you wanna skip the bts season episodes)

2025-01-18 07:01:10 +0000 UTCI think y’all should do a poll on what specific episode of GoSe after the game caterers like all the mafia or all the TTT episodes etc. also game caterers leads to NaNa tour and it’s so good to see the boys just being with each other. I think the order that would most benefit y’all is: hype game caterers—> seventeen game caterers—> NaNa Tour —> GoSe episodes

2025-01-18 03:15:15 +0000 UTCI’m sorry this isn’t entirely SVT related but you should really watch Hybe Game Caterers !!! Like I’m not a SVT fan but they have so many fun interactions on there with other idols and I got to know some of the members of SVT through it 😭😭 it would be super fun also because Lsfm, Enhypen, TxT, Fromis9, and many others are all together on the show!!

2025-01-18 01:17:24 +0000 UTCLike others have stated...Game Caterers is a great introduction to SVT, but it does end up leading to the NaNa Tour which is a 6-episode (1-2 hours per) reality travel show. There is also the HYBE Game Caterers that came before SVT's, where a whole bunch of HYBE artists participated (Fromis9, Le SSerifim, Enhypen, TXT, and 1/2 of SVT & some solo artists). No matter where you start with GOSE, I do recommend that you skip a bit...I highly recommend the Wiki page for an episode guide to figure out where you might want to start off.

2025-01-18 01:11:41 +0000 UTCWhen you start Going (I’d say skip the pre-2020 ones), it wouldn’t be a bad idea to pick and choose episodes and series / go a bit out of order at first, as long as you watch the eps within each series in order, because some episodes are better introductions to SVT and to the show than others are! Here’s an updated list if you need one for reference: https://pastebin.com/YfLXjb6c Also, the Seventeen members themselves have recommended “TTT Hyperrealism Ver.” or “순응특집 단짝 (Best Friends)” as an intro for newcomers to the show 😆

2025-01-17 23:20:31 +0000 UTCIn my opinion game caterers is very good as an introduction, many people I know became carats after that. Totally agree on watching going seventeen when it became the show it is now and skipping the earlier eps
Alex
2025-01-17 23:18:12 +0000 UTCGame Caterers is gonna be shorter than GoSe, so that’s why I’m thinking you should start there! I think you should lead that into Nana Tour, and then go back and do GoSe, and yes, skip the first season or so! You CAN do it, but it’s not quite the same kind of behind the scenes as say SKZ Talker and SKZ Talker Go (and is not quite as interesting imo as much as I love them)
Nepkitty
2025-01-17 23:16:59 +0000 UTCI think game caterers is a really good introduction to them since it was made to be viewed by new/non-fans! Gose is wonderful but requires a little more knowledge to get peak enjoyment out of some of the episodes. Agreed that you should skip the earlier episodes and start when it became more of a variety show
