2024-12-15 01:40:14 +0000 UTCAlso, despite not being a coffee drinker myself, Australian coffee is known for being incredible, because we had several strong waves of Italian, Greek and Turkish migration through the 50s and 60s that developed our cafe culture in general and coffee culture in particular. As such, the North American drip brew approach to coffee has never really caught on - like, it's certainly *available,* inasmuch as various chains like Krispy Kreme and McDonald's exist in Australia, but 95% of Australian cafes are independently owned, and coffee is taken very seriously. The most famous Australian coffee drink is the flat white, a beverage which has prompted multiple coffee-drinking American friends of mine to go into rhapsodies, though as with Changbin's order here, the long black is also popular. (Also: while D'Some is right that the long black is like an inverse of the Americano, as it's an espresso shot poured into water rather than water poured into espresso, IIRC the key difference is in the beans and process used for the espresso itself, and in the amount and temperature of the water with which it's diluted.)

2024-12-14 22:47:26 +0000 UTCThe whole cooking section is hilarious, because: 1) The way Felix singsongs "please give me sogum" is a TikTok reference - there's a guy on the app who teaches simple Korean and who went viral a little while ago, and that particular rhythm is the one he uses for a bunch of basic phrases, specifically "please give me X," where he says it first in English, then repeats the Korean equivalent in the same cadence; and 2) While looking for salt, he opens a cupboard, stares *directly at* a huge container of it - if you wind the video back to that point, it's the tall white and green container with SAXA written on it, which is a default Australian salt brand - and simply does not perceive it, thus engaging in what my mother would call "having a boy's look" (ie failing to see the very obviously placed thing you're looking for, then claiming it isn't there) XD Also, as for climbing over the Sydney Harbor Bridge - you can absolutely walk across it the normal way, on footpaths on either side of the traffic lanes, but you can also pay to do a special guided tour where you summit the arch that goes over the top, which is what the boys are exclaiming over!

2024-12-14 05:41:32 +0000 UTCThe funny thing is that when Felix is looking for salt there is a big, clearly labelled container of salt that he misses 😂 I'm surprised Hyunjin didn't find fish sauce as you should be able to get it in any decent supermarket, though he was in an IGA which is a smaller independent store so maybe it wasn't stocked. Perilla oil you would definitely have to go to a korean grocery store. Seungmin's aegyo to Changbin was so cute omg. And Changbin is very charming speaking english. Chan and Changbin were on Gym Jong Kook! I assume the sausages will be reacting, so I would really appreciate your extra subtitles, as there were a lot of comments that were not translated. Thank you!

It gets windy up there XD Fun fact...there's also the harbour tunnel for those who are brave enough to travel under the harbour. I say brave because I always hold my breath XD

2024-12-13 23:30:54 +0000 UTCYeah, there is also less water in a long black and the shot length is often slightly longer. when I first moved to the UK I was shocked that Longblacks didn't exsist in most places ... I had to ask for double shots everywhere cause it was far too weak for me at the time. It was the strangest culture shock cause I just didn't expect it, and I didn't realise how much of a coffee snob I was (but I had been a barista so I should have known lol).

2024-12-13 22:20:30 +0000 UTCOh yeah and I am sure others have said, and you can see it if you watch the Ateez video... but you can't just walk across the top of the Harbour Bridge ... it is a paid 'experience' like those skyscraper things where you wear ugly grey boiler suits and attached to the guard rails with climbing equiptment ...it is fun .. very very windy :P .. but it you want a free experience there is a walkway at road level to... but I suggest travelling by sea ... the ferry system is excellent!

2024-12-13 21:04:25 +0000 UTCYou're right about the order being the only difference, but long blacks have a slightly stronger flavour because pouring it on top of the hot water allows it to keep more of the frothy top (crema), which is more intense. Now... when you ice it, I really feel like there would be no difference, but I've not actually tried that.

2024-12-13 20:33:34 +0000 UTCYeeesss. Yes this is going to be very fun. I am settled in with a pizza and some ginger ale. The top looks like a granny shirt on changbin. The way I couldn't breathe when some men walked into the screen with his black tank top. It was too much. Too much for my pore fragile heart. And then out comes. I in with his back muscles all out and I genuinely died. The way Seungmin immediately put on a jacket over that tank top made me laugh. But Loki I was so thankful because I did need to breathe again. This was definitely an interesting game and I kind of want to see them play it more. No because in this music video there is a scene with at least 16 but it's definitely more because it's like a split screen. My Hannie baby is so precious. Bang Chan chose a later part. When that black screen came up for what Han chose I lost it. IN was literally so stressed. He was ready to square up on changbin. They love torturing each other. They are all menaces. Not him trying to play it off saying he was a little mad in the moment and he was just exaggerating for the show. Baby. We all know you was upset. You were like 2 seconds away from cussing everybody out. We understand, we get it. Also, if you notice Changbin immediately changed his pants. It's crazy because I really had no faith in hyunjin remembering those items. Binnie is so cute! I swear Binnie and his English makes me so feral. It's so ridiculously cute. That's me. When it comes to going into a store I immediately get distracted. I don't know why I find Hyunjin shopping so entertaining. Look at Disney princess Binnie communicating with animals and what not 😹. No so when I was watching bang Chan interact with Berry hold on started playing in my head and I started crying. Yeah I'm not sure if I actually understand what they're trying to explain about that bridge because ain't no way you're about to have me walk even higher above the water than what the cars are already driving. I barely like going across Bridges in a car ain't no way I'm walking over it. No, all of their reactions are absolutely adorable. However, when it comes to Han the way he overreacted but also the way that that would be me because I do not fuck with spiders. I cannot! I think they did a great job because honestly it looks like they know what they're doing. Hun and Felix are me when it comes to cooking. I am a disaster in the kitchen except for like a couple staple dishes that I know how to do. That actually went by so fast. I would do the shopping. I wouldn't remember a damn thing on my list but it would definitely be fun. And I would probably be like Hyunjin and try a bunch of different fruits. I definitely want to get some fresh Australian air and the Australian sunlight. I know it's the same sunlight as everywhere else but like it feels different. For a group of eight I would do a shit ton of scrambled eggs, a bunch of bacon, some bagels and some fruit. Or you could do a bunch of oatmeal. YES D'SOME! Breakfast is really important and I understand, but I don't ever feel like making breakfast in the morning. Maybe I need to start eating eggs in the morning to help my brain. Yall are so silly 😹😹😹. I have no idea about anything coffee related. I don't drink coffee. See ya later dudes! 👋🏾
