[Tier 2] Stray Kids - Fandom Tour Ep. 2

Back with SKZ Fandom Tour, this time we are BOWLING :D

Let's see how the members do, especially since we got some (supposedly) masters like Bang Chan and Changbin, as well as some newbies like Felix and LeeKnow. Who will win? We shall see! :)

Also, if anyone here is realllllly good at bowling, let us know YOUR average :D Better yet, if you're really bad, what was the lowest you've scored XD not to scoreshame but just curious, you know :D

Enjoy <3

LMAO this episode is hilarious! My personal theory on Chan and Changbin were suddenly worse than before is muscle development with age. The last time they played there, they were trainees, and they'd clearly not been able to play in the intervening years; they used to have much less muscle mass, but were still strong compared to the group, whereas by the time of this video, they've both put on a shittonne of muscle. That being so, I think their bowling technique was instinctively calibrated to their younger selves - except suddenly, they're way stronger than they used to be, and so Chan in particular is throwing way too hard with much less control, which is why he's getting gutterballs. (And as others have mentioned, he had a wrist injury around this time, which probably made it harder for him to adapt his throw.) Changbin, too, I think had an additional problem in the form of the foul throw sensor, which - judging by how surprised they all are when it first tripped and they way they talked about it - I don't think that particular alley used to have; meaning, he'd never paid that much attention to his feet before, and as trainees, none of them probably cared if he put a toe over. That, or he was just out of practice. Meanwhile, I.N and Felix - who both used to be way skinnier as trainees - had developed enough muscle and improved their coordination that they were suddenly much more stable than before, with the result that they did better than expected. (This benefit, however, did not extend to Han, whose habitual clumsiness cancelled it out.) Hyunjin, I think, was the main one whose talent level remained about the same, because I think he had roughly the same physicality now as then, and good control over his body; while Seungmin I suspect was always good, thanks to his baseball arm, but because he wasn't hyping himself up the way Chan and Changbin were, the others (except for Felix) had just kind of forgotten about it. Which leaves Lee Know, who like Han is traditionally bad at ball sports - and who therefore, I suspect, hadn't ever tried particularly hard at bowling in the past, which tracks with how, in this game, he starts out treating the whole thing as a joke. But once his team starts to unexpectedly succeed, he gets invested in the game, and starts trying instead - which means that he actually gets his eye in and improves, because unlike Han, overall clumsiness isn't the reason he's bad at ball sports. Rather (IMO) it's that he doesn't really see the point in them, isn't engaged in the rules or the love of the game, and - crucially - struggles to react quickly when things are passed/thrown at him, so that he flinches and flails a lot in games like beach volleyball. But physically, he's both coordinated and strong, and bowling doesn't require you to react to being passed a ball: you just throw it in a single, smooth, repetitive motion, which is something he *is* good at. So once he stops being silly and actually commits to the game, he turns out to be quite good - and so whereas the avengers team starts to unravel psychologically at being worse than they expected, which negatively impacts their play, the rookie team is so jubilant that they get a positive boost instead, and thereby do better.

This is one of my all time favorite episodes. I’ve watched it at least 50 times and it makes me laugh just as much as the first time watching it. ❤️❤️❤️🤣😂

Isabel Cortes

I remember a comment saying this is a real-life example of the power of friendship coming through 😂

At some point, changbin and maybe hyunjin too, had their own ball, shoes etc xD. That was a very funny racha log

Ambre

The subs are up !

Sasha Amani

Chan is actually really good and his record now is a lot higher if I’m not remembering wrong but I guess the combination of the pressure of doing good plus having issues with both of his wrist didn’t help him 😭 and yeah Buldak was his designated nickname from the kids because of the red hair 🤣

Dianne

I haven't been bowling for easily 30 years, but every time I watch these kinds of episodes, I want to go again! This is so much fun!

Tristana Keauna

That's true, I had almost forgotten! He was in that wrist brace on and off for a while

Rina

HIS BALLS ARE HEAVY XD Thank you Han-C

Janetleestay 🐨

This episode is so fun, the difference in the 'Newbie' teams demeanor from the first roll to the last is awesome, FELIX YOU ARE LEGEND!... and Hyunjin's reactions throughout are priceless lol

EL Knox

Omg same, i was always picked last for stuff like that unless I was with friends

Caz_3

Felix is so lovable... I wish I had had a person like Felix in High School, I bloody hated 'Schoolyard picks' for sport.

EL Knox

Chan has a wrist injury he got it around this promotion period which is why he couldn’t bowl like he used to!

renok

I used to be ok, always getting between 100-120 but once people started giving me compliments and expecting me to be good, I haven't scored a single strike since. I don't know what happened :D Compliments backfired I guess :D P.s thank you for so much content! After exhausting day at work, your SKZ reactions are much appreciated. <3

Tam Chik

My bowling average used to be 190. But, I went bowling with friends recently and my score was 35 or something. LOL You can have bad days and also lose those muscles if you don't bowl in a long time.

Star Dust

I'm so bad at bowling it's a crime actually I'm bad no matter the ball game basket, pool, football ! And Chan is really good at bowling but not when they are camera around in one racha log he said it

Sasha Amani

That's so true :') What a sweetie

Handsome Sausages

This episode DEFINITELY made me go again too :D

Handsome Sausages

Gotta say, THAT's true skill. Respect.

Handsome Sausages

My parents were in a bowling club when I was a kid and a lot of the members were on a professional level so I can at least say that I played with people who were really good 😄I haven't bowled in over 10 years but this episode also made me wanna go again just once

Coco Nies

Not related but Chan and Changbin are one the workout show you guys mention https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8tPhlplaMX4&t=14s - JYP 트레이너들과 함께.... (Feat. 스트레이 키즈 방찬, 창빈, 마선호, 최한진)

Sasha Amani

They are besties, so of course he loves his Seungminnie

Suzanna

felix always chooses his seungminie first in everything 🥰 like here, in kingdom week, in a lot of skz code episodes like when they played soccer, and in the monopoly thingy (he even cheated just to be paired with seungmin lol) and more

jiyongchy

I've never bowled frequently, but I was pretty good when I went (no clue on my scores) :'D I do worse now, it hurts my wrists :(

Hazel

Yay. I think my lowest score was like 23 or 24. Dang D'some has to be his own clap track?! Come on Han-C, get with the program. Bowling is ALWAYS interesting to watch with SKZ. I love this intro with Han and Felix. Its so chaotic 😹. They are precious. Lol again with the costco Han-C. The way Lee know was shook that he was picked. I have no idea what Felix was thinking. It's definitely interesting to see how clean and organized a bowling alley in Korea is compared to over here. Felix is soooo adorable. 10 lbs is what i use when i bowl. Yes we know he can't multitask so when he is focusing on bowling he's saying nothing. Seungmin looks so cute when he's focused on bowling. Bang Chan is notorious for flaking when it comes to being on camera. Binnie and his Dwaekki ball! Lee know is seriously so precious while bowling. No I think bang Jen is genuinely good at bowling but he is notorious for being bad on camera when it comes to games. I felt so bad for Benny because every time he bowled a strike he fouled it. Felix is so cute when he jumped because he got a strike. Yes they are calling him buldak for his hair. They also called him angry Bird which is funny. I want to go bowl there. So badly. I think you're just thinking too much about it Han-C. I can definitely understand going bowling by yourself. Was always decently for like two games and then after that my arm starts getting tired and then I just play to play. I start switching it up by trying to play with my non-dominant hand, by only bowling through my legs, by bowling while not looking, by spinning before bowling. Just make it really fun. D'some lol. Not you wanting to piss Han-C off. There should be bowling at the sausage retreat.

Kwestleo

This was one of my favorite things to watch when I was first becoming a stay. I would laugh so hard and I loved their dynamics. Felix picking the members that probably wouldn’t have been picked first and just wanting to have a fun time really worked in his favor and definitely made it so much more entertaining 😆

Caz_3

I love that Felixx picked the Cuties Dorm—and he picked all the underdogs…what a sweetie

Chris Moehring

I don't mean to brag but I'm pretty amazing at bowling on the Wii and the Nintendo Switch.

Mary

Wow just like SKZ’s promotion schedule this month, we are also being spoiled by you guys.
