I laughed so hard watching the boys' reactions especially to Red Lights 😂 Jisung is the funniest. And I love seeing how SKZ are getting more and more involved in making their MVs. Now that we're getting the MVs for their solos, I'm sure they also had a hand in making the creative decisions. I can't wait to see them!

2024-12-11 23:32:59 +0000 UTCYou're right about the director being young - his name is Novvkim, and he only turned 30 this year, which makes him a '94 liner and thus only 4 years older than Chan! So in 2021, when Howl in Harmony aired, he was only 26; the same age Chan is now. He's a noteworthy figure in SKZ creative lore, not only because he's directed a number of their MVs, but because he's openly queer, and so his easy friendship and frequent work with the group feels doubly meaningful to me, particularly given his youth.

2024-12-11 20:32:55 +0000 UTCI really like Novvkim as a director. I've been following him almost as long as SKZ I think because Red Lights was my first SKZ song and MV. I feel like he's great at visual references and atmospheric stuff. Plus I'm here for supporting openly queer artists. Their MV for DLC that he filmed felt like it had a lot of references to the British film Billy Elliot which is a classic and such a clever reference that gave multiple additional meanings to the song (Billy Elliot is a film about a boy from a poor mining district who wants to be a ballet dancer but that's not what boys are meant to do in that culture). I highly recommend checking out his accounts- @novvkim and @we.are.novv on Instagram. I really love how involved SKZ were in their MV designs though. I love how they've increasingly been given more voice in their visuals and staging, it's cool to see that side of their creativity.

He's done several of their SKZ Records like Little Star, Up All Night, Drive, Streetlight, Close, Party's Not Over - and M/Vs like You Can Stay, Easy, Ex, Winter Falls, Lonely St., Your Eyes, DLC, Social Path, Stray Kids, Giant, and Railway. He is also known for his photography. He used to do regular Q&As on Instagram talking about his work and different collaborations. He spoke highly of working with SKZ and I want to say that he had mentioned being near in age to them (I think he said 1994 or 1995).

I haven’t thought about that for a long time but you just reminded me!

LOL no we definitely wanna know who you really are. Lol the chaos. Very appropriate for a SKZ video 🤣. Oh I'm sure they would sound amazing if they all howled in harmony. Lol. It might not be therapy for them but it sure is therapy for us. We love it. Oh no! You guys are going to be so happy with the spider prank in the next skz code that you guys watch. I absolutely love that! Han said it was supposed to be 4.7 million but he negotiated it DOWN to 4.8. That definitely sounds like something he would actually do. My sweet baby. The fact that Lee know wasn't even paying attention to the bit is hilarious. No because seungmin is known for just being a menace to the boys when they're in the shower. Back when they had an extra member in the group they were on some show that Inseong (from SF9) was hosting as well as Seungmin I think, and they were telling stories and hyunjin mentioned how Seungmin would come in the bathroom and just like stare at him or like make a noise and then just run away or something. Lol Changbin being upset that he wasn't a part of the sexiness is so funny. Because then they turn around and make red lights OT8 and perform it and they all look and sound fantastic. Lolleg know is very fitting. No bcuz the quick up and down look that Felix gave Binnie when he said I'll take my shirt off had me so shook when i first saw this. Mind you i was JUST starting my SKZ journey at that point 😹. The way all of these men are obsessed with sexy is so wild but also very beneficial for us STAYs. Yeah no that was my first time ever seeing a cord like that where three of them can listen at the same time. But that was so cool. I love how adamant Changbin was when it comes to tick tock virality. Lino being purposely complicated with the earphones is hilarious. IN looked so scandalized from the beginning. The way Han was looking at Hyunjin me laughing. Felix was so right because it did make me cry the first time I listened to gone away. I'm honestly not even surprised that their reaction to gone away was so minimal with the exception of Felix. Because they love listening to Seungmin sing and Seungmin really stood out on that song. like the other boys did a great job obviously. But like Seungmin has always been so strong and powerful. So listening to him in that song you would definitely want to like fully focus on that. And also you know that changbin is not good when it comes to multitasking. So if he is like focusing on something he is focusing on something he is not paying attention to anything else. So I liked the reaction. It's very fitting now that I know more about them. Hyunjin wanting the song out now so he can stream. It is exactly how stay feels when we hear any snippets of any songs that they tease for us. It was so fun getting to see them work on the concept of the music video together. Binnie was so awkward in front of the class and it is adorable. What is the thing that changbin has around his hand? Oh is that black thing specifically for when they're writing on the whiteboard? Because now bang Chan is wearing it. Lol Han-C GANG GANG 😹. They really do love to see bang Chan shirtless or without clothes. As much as they complain about it. They love to see it. I think the directors are more immersed because bang, Chan and hyunjin had their story more fleshed out so it was easier to follow. Flower language is so complex. I definitely got the feeling of it being muted and watery in their music video for sure. I can definitely see similarities in the way the director talks and the way Felix talks. And their tones are somewhat similar. Wait a minute was that the director that actually passed that they put a note about in one of the videos?! Wait i can't frind the video now
