Do-Re-Mi-Fa-king Giant just about killed me. Fits that almost every artist I listed to does their own "If You Seek Amy" moment. I remember how pressed Chan was about Xdinary Heroes getting away with it first, where they were just cursing in the live performances but the songs themselves weren't explicitly curse words (even though we ALL knew what they were).

2024-11-17 21:50:08 +0000 UTCI agree with Stay doridorayaki about SKZ current music style using twinkly or spacy samples, the use of pauses, or spaces in their different songs, and having them being effective each time. The SKZ instrumentals are starting to shift more in a "sound design" style almost, like you have the use of sounds to create a certain feeling or build tension, but it's not just a straight up sample based off an instrument. Very creative is their love of straight up using ascending/descending scales in the music WHILE we have the metallic clinking scale going up and down

Changbin, Seungmin and I.N has me in a chokehold in this MV, I just ....Who am I fooling? They all do. Just...I.N in that pre chorus? The song in it's entirety scratches my brain just right, but it's too overwhelming to really put into words why yet. Your break down of it helps, tho, putting into words the things I don't understand. I'm just sat here like "Exactly! That's it!" Lol

I'm guessing that the part where IN is holding the giant ball is a direct reference to how ants are insanely strong and can carry 50 times their own body weight, it also reminded me of Sisyphus, not sure if that was an intentional reference but Skz have used Greek mythology in the past and it would fit in with the Gods/giants theme. Their outfits also have major steampunk vibes which is super cool

2024-11-13 17:24:07 +0000 UTCThe fact that you caught the "ant" in GI-ant was pretty awesome. But yeah, it seems like the running theory is that they are worker ants (notice the transition from lower to upper levels), who when they work together create a GI-ant. This can also be visually represented by the separate eggs they each found that combine into the one "master" egg - which is then overrun by actual ants (maybe haters?). Also caught some Social Path references there as well, so that's definitely interesting too. There's something about their Japanese releases that is just so satisfying and visually different from their regular stuff that I always get super excited to try and piece together the overall new "lore" that they come up with.

I was waiting for you to break down the structure because I just couldn’t wrap my head around it. This whole album is once again beyond amazing!

Lol yes Han-C do re me ficking giants. Yes they are ants. The achoo is so amazing. Did you see bang chans body?! Man is stacked! Yes its a dance break. I need to see this choreography in full IMMEDIATELY!. its looks so good. I love that y'all picked up Channie's cussing wordplay. I have a satisfaction with Han's achoo as well. There are so many questions for me. I feel like that is definitely what they meant when they say giANT. The postchorus is sick! Hyunjin's tone has been fantastic. Lol get it Han-C!
