2024-09-20 00:12:30 +0000 UTCAlso.....you were talking about how some of the members learned their instruments after they became trainees. Gunil is one member who already knew how to play, though. He attended the Berklee College of Music in Boston on a scholarship and specialized in drums while he was there. Gunil was actually contacted by JYP because they saw some of his online videos where he posted his covers of other artists' drumming. Day6 was on tour in the U.S., and they were going to be in Boston. So the JYP people asked Gunil to meet with them at the hotel where Day6 was staying so they could talk to him about becoming an idol for a new band they were forming. They asked him to do an on-the-spot drumming audition right there in the hotel. Of course, he passed.

And I have to say a HUGE "thank you" to JYP for supporting XH's exploration in this direction. They absolutely KILLED IT. And my favorite part was GUNIL!!! He was SHREDDING on the drums!!

It might not be the typical XH sounds but I'm glad they don't feel too constrained and do whatever is calling out to them, it makes me proud π₯ΉDoes this perhaps mean we're getting an album review soon? π

And enjoy this with you guys. Okay, I'm home a little bit early. But I'm so excited. I'm starting here and then I'm going to go to the stray kids one because that one's longer. Also, I'm just really excited to hear your thoughts of this song. They all look fantastic. Also the one that has the short haircut reminded me of Seungmin for like a split second. Also, it took me awhile to realize it's in English. Or at least mostly English. their hair, their makeup, the clothing. The aesthetic is all studying. They pulled this off so well. I really need to learn their names. Because I can't call myself a villain if I don't know their names. And the only one that I really know is jooyeon. I can definitely hear the Linkin Park Vibes. That would be awesome if that's true because if so they play very well for just having learned. Yes Jooyeon had the '70s '80s Glam/hair band look. It gave very much kiss π. You guys speak thai? Oooo, I need to add that question to y'all's q&A question post. How many languages do you guys speak? But yes, I enjoyed this music video very much. I too am very surprised that it came out of jyp.
