i love dice, i still get excited when it pops up in my playlist :D

Did not expect Snoop Dog to pop up and it caught me off guard and laugh hard When I first heard O.O, I definitely had to hear it multiple times before I could enjoy listening to the song the whole way through. Though now, I will randomly start singing along throughout my day, so safe to say I like it a lot Dice was a lot smoother, and I liked it within my first or second listen. Part of this was because I loved their tri-lingual performance (English, Spanish, and Korean) on hello82's channel. Here's the link if you're interested: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=elr0tE1xcaY HIGHLY suggest watching Changbin absolutely killing Nmixx' dance challenges, including this one. And any other girl group challenge honestly

No one will ever make me hate Nmixx or the nmixx changeup. I think a lot of people covered why Dice had hate, and it was that polarizing pause in O.O. And… my unpopular opinion is that I love O.O. Not more than See That? And LMLT, etc? But I love it. They just released a special performance video for one of their b-sides off the newest album called Love is Lonely. I think you’d love it.

Okay first off I'm so happy I got a serendipitous shoutout on this reaction because I LOVE "Dice!" It's been on my playlist since it came out. SO, I think that a lot of the hate that "Dice" received was fueled by hate still being lobbed at "O.o," which had an absolutely VITRIOLIC reception. Now, I'm not gonna stand up and say that "O.o" is the best song ever made, but it was like it was so weird to people that it made them mad. The group got hate as well as the song. Yes, you're absolutely right that SM had been around, doing its experimental thing, but I think NMIXX was the first girl group owning mix-pop as their genre, and people didn't know what to do with it. They were ahead of their time a bit, I think. I also think that they just weren't what people expected from a JYP girl group, in terms of concept, songs, or visuals, so they got dismissed very early as flops. But back to "Dice!" Again, I do kinda feel like people were looking for reasons to not like it. People calling it not cohesive... 1) I disagree with and 2) I don't think get the genre they were going for. The unconventional song structure is maybe off-putting to some, but I also think it's part of the song's entire epic build. I do agree with D'Some that the music video didn't -help- the song. My completely inexpert solution would've been less CGI, more of the girls, and waaaay fewer cuts between concept scenes. Still! It wasn't all bad. The "Big Wave" dance challenge....made big waves (I am so sorry). You should look up Changbin doing it, in exchange for him doing "Case 143" with Haewon. NMIXX also put on one HELL of a performance of it at MAMA that year, which y'all should definitely look up! Yeah, the other member you're seeing is Jinni (now called JINI, and under The Black Label at YG, I believe?). She abruptly left the group, and no one knows what really went down. She had trained for many years at JYP and finally debuted. Personally, if I were to speculate, she was unhappy with the hate NMIXX was receiving and didn't think they would have longevity as a group with their concept, so she looked for greener pastures, but that's just me. She's been cut from a ton of behind-the-scenes footage, but you can see her briefly in a video of them recording their holiday single "Funky Glitter Christmas," which I HIGHLY recommend that y'all react to when 'tis the season, because it is such a musical treat. Something that makes me happy is that both "O..o" AND "Dice" have seemingly gained more fans over the past couple years and are looked at more kindly now, and NMIXX has seemingly established a strong foothold in the industry with their unique vibe. I hope it lasts because the girls are so hella talented. Let's roll the dice, y'all. Thank you as usual for such an insightful reaction! I always feel like I re-learn a favorite song from ya'll.

Dice is a song that I liked from the first listen when it first came out which is unusual for me because I usually get overwhelmed by change ups easily, especially from groups I don't know well! Most criticism I've seen was that peoply did not like the structure of the songs and felt that the song was aimless and unmemorable. Also saw a lot of people saying at the time that O.O and Dice didn't match the members vocals🤷‍♀️ While I don't agree, I do see that Nmixx was still finding their sound here Yess O.O for the next reaction!!

Dice is their most popular song IMO bc of the “change up” def check out the itslives for all their title tracks!! (except the new one) O.O is BY FAR their most hated song and they were hated on a lot during debut. the music video for O.O does have a pause that IMO does kinda ruin the songs flow? but without the pause im genuinely a fan of the song, and from their debut, they have a b-side tank that is kinda the follow up song to O.O! def check out both!!

Yes they had another member, Jinni, who left due to “personal reasons” the same year they debuted so she is in a lot of their beginning content. And also yes, when this song came out, it was like people either loved it or hated it. The Big Wave change up blew up though. Also from that time, I think that a lot of ppl didn’t like their music bc it wasn’t their cup of tea from a girl group, also there was a lot of hate towards the nmixx fandom as people saw them as rude, toxic, or having a superiority complex. This is a true story. (As in the feelings not saying the fandom was bad as a fact) so yeah a fandom can easily have an effect on how others perceive the artist unfortunately

I have not heard this song before so this is all new for me. Oh, i like the vibe already. I do get itzy from this. THIS IS WHERE THE BIG WAVE IS FROM?!? I've seen the episode of SKZ code where I.N and Han end up singing/dancing that. Oh wow. I like the switch up. The cinematography is sick! Have you worn those glasses before D'some? I swear i never noticed them before. I enjoyed it. I only heard it just now.
