This is Hong-joong and Maddox - just the two of them - performing All About You live together.
It was GOOD. VERY GOOD.
We noticed they had other songs performed at this event, and it seems like everyone from ATEEZ was there (it was just this piece that Hongjoong performed alone with Maddox I guess) - so one day we do hope to check out the whole thing :).
But either way, we hope you enjoy our discussion here, and the beautiful live performance, and we'll see you in the next (and the last) track of this incredible album.

2024-09-12 03:22:02 +0000 UTCI also watched Maddox almost win the AOMG show "Sign Here". I was hoping he wouldn't win and have Jay Park steal him from KQ. π’ I've always hoped he would do an album. I've loved what he's put out so far. My first Maddox song I fell in love with was But Maybe and it's still one of my favorites.

And his cover of Adele is amazing! So knowing he can perform an Adele song I do believe that is him in the beginning.

2024-09-09 21:38:41 +0000 UTCand for the "debate" about is the little ad-lib at the beginning of the song is Maddox or a female vocal, as a fan of Maddox and who love his voice because of how particuliar it his, I believe it is him but they modified his voice to sound even more breathy and light because what would have been the point to pick a female vocal when we know that Maddox can do it. So in my opinion he is the one doing it but we cannot be sure a 100% :)

I think I've already heard you wondering who speaks in the intros of Ateez albums? Well it's Maddox, he grew up in England until he was 10 and speaks English very well. He even helped Hongjoong improve his English.

2024-09-09 20:09:18 +0000 UTCAgreed, i watch his vlogs now and again aswell and although KQ keeps him pretty busy with writing and composing for Ateez, Xikers Γ‘nd dreamcatcher, He is keeping himself busy too. He has spoken about his own album a few times lately. He keeps tweaking and changing the songs and taking his time to finish it. It must be difficult producing your own album if you are a Singer Γ nd a producer, knowing when to stop tweaking it, stop fussing over it.

2024-09-09 17:04:47 +0000 UTCI don't think KQ is holding Maddox back. He wouldn't have opened for Ateez in Europe if they were. The reception he got was incredible. If you watch any of his DOXlogs, I think you'll get a better understanding of why he hasn't put out any new music recently. He's a bit of a perfectionist when it comes to his own music (as most artists are) and just hasn't been ready to put anything out.

2024-09-09 14:55:00 +0000 UTCCorrect, it was a promised busking event if one of Hongjoong's videos reached 1M views and his cover of Numb by Linkin Park reached 1M in just under a week. (https://www.allkpop.com/article/2021/11/ateez-hongjoong-to-hold-busking-event-as-promised-to-fans) It was supposed to be held outdoors but it was raining cats and dogs, so they held it inside.

As for the original version of this song, I'm pretty sure it's a female and Maddox does the 'about you'. Because in the beginning of the song, Maddox sounded different from the female voice but him singing 'about you' was the same. Also, I don't know if Maddox brings out many new songs regularly. If he doesn't, it feels like KQ is robbing us of two very good singers because EDEN and Maddox are always producing music for ATEEZ and Xikers

He performed some of his song covers (Prince, Michael Jackson, Linkin' Park, David Bowie), did a song with Maddox, and also as you've said with ATEEZ. It's a good watch!
