Exclusive Patreon Content: Marxist Critique of Detective Pikachu

This was public on my channel for a while, but I privated it because I thought it was extremely absurd and also I didn't want people finding it out of context and having to deal with the fallout from that. But for the Patrons who were asking to see it on Twitter, here ya go! This will live here from now on as an exclusive lol. There is no charge to Patrons associated with this post since it is an older video.

After watching this video I had a long thought about the relationship presented between humans and Pokémon. I think from an overall perspective black and white 1 is possibly the best presentation while sword and shield visually shows it. Sword and Shield is smaller details but a majority of new Pokémon are based off of human jobs and past. You have the 3 starters being a drummer, a sport star and an assassin. The starters evolves more like humans rather like normal Pokémon, as if to properly grow themselves as an equal to humans. You have Pokémon like regional Persian and the spartin Pokémon both acting old humans cultures. There is a lot of example of this codependent relationship in galar that in turn shoes a direct equal relationship between us and Pokémon. Black and white is more subtle, take for example Bianca Munna. First beat up by team Plasma members, she nurse Munna back to safety and in turn Munna wished to follow her. Bianca as soon as she loses Munna runs around recklessly searching for Munna nearly getting in trouble if it wasn’t for us and Iris. She later on desires to become an professor assistant to learn ways how to generally help Pokémon. The nurses and doctors out in the whiles aren’t usually there for you(lore wise) but rather to help hurt Pokémon in the wild, even after being beaten they stay on the field to continue helping Pokémon. The early game trainers are younger people and fighters. Fighting Pokémon tend to want to get stronger and so do fighters trainers, in turn they help eachother get stronger by training together(and beating up other wild Pokémon). Younger trainer have Pokémon more befitting to help them grow with Pokémon that has a chance to evolve and in turn they count on the trainer to help them grow as well. Just as there are humans hurting Pokémon there are Pokémon hurting humans like the genie trio and Kyrurem. The unova region is so about this unity that a lot of people mix their Pokémon with their life style and general jobs. Even the legendaries of the region only comes out when one human comes with enough resolves to follow their truth or ideals. I think humans in Pokémon do help Pokémon as much as they help us but as you say gamefreak always doesn’t want to put this relationship in the forefront or majorly focus on it. As there still messy areas like the weird warrior mentality a lot of Pokémon seem to have, our inherent connection to them like friendship evolution/frustration, whatever they were trying to do in Legend etc. but this is at least my takes of the best example of the codependent relationship we have with Pokémon.

I'm glad this'll still be available.
